    You can read the CNN story but I just got to put in my two-cents on the subject.  At one time federal buildings were guarded by private contract guards from services like Pinkerton, Burns and others.
     The contract company would bid on the contract and the lowest bidder would get the contract.  In a couple of years the contract would come up again and often one of the other guard services would bid less and get the contract. 
     What took place most of the time is the guard working for the one company would just quit and go to work for the other company that got the contract.  So it would be new company and same guards.
     The contract guards got higher pay because the government as part of the contract said that a certain percent of the money had to go to the officers.
      The guard company would say that they gave their guards training but in fact they gave none.  I know I worked for years for them as a second job on my days off from my full time job.  I worked for Burns, Pinkerton, Well-Fargo and many others.  I also owned stock in a couple of them and I would see their report to stockholders and they would show photos and stacks of books and videos that they said they gave to employees as training.  It never happened.  One company showed me a 15 minute slide show one time and that was it.
      

Watching the Michael Jackson Event

  I did not think I would be watching the Michael Jackson event but I am…I wish they would kick those people out that are yelling out during the event…The brothers look strange..like they got a uniform on..got a glove on one hand?  What the fuck…
  OK OK.. I Just turned OFF the Michael Jackson event.. Al Sharpton is speaking now.  I will not listen to him and I will not watch him.  He is a low life scum.  I will not have anything to do with anyone that has anything to do with Al Sharpton.
   So my watching of the Michael Jackson show is over with…

   How people can have anything to do with a super racist like Al Sharpton I just do not understand.
   There is not one good thing about Al Sharpton.

Obama Picks Camp David Church

  Sounds to me like they made a good choice.  I just wonder how far is Camp David from the White House?  How will they get to Camp David?  Do they drive each Sunday through traffic or do they fly him to Camp David?  I guess we will find out.

A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victim's chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes.
The protests were going on about 1 kilometers away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gass used among them, towards Salehi St.”

  The people of Iran just want some freedom.  I fear all you and I can do is pray that the leaders of Iran will decide to allow some freedom for the people.

Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators

  We live in a nice condo, we rent, in a nice area of Miami FL.  I just did a search on the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators web site and there are 8 registered sexual offenders living within one mile of this house.
  The also gave a list of 256 offenders that they said to watch out for because they have “absconded” and they do not know where they are but they could be in this area.

  There should not be that many sexual offenders around here.  This was just a one mile area.  Think of the numbers of offenders that are all over the United States.
  There is something wrong and something needs to be done.  I am not talking about locking them all up and forgetting about them.  There should be some sort of study done.  What causes a person to become an offender?  Is it porn?  Is is drinking or doing drugs? 
  We can not afford to lock them all up.  We need to find some way to fix them before they start doing their crimes.

  We have to stop bring in religion and blue and red states in the mix.  We can not get anything done because the right want to make it a matter of sin and they want to blame the left for the problem.
  I am not sure if it is a mental problem or a medical problem or just what the cause of this mass of offenders is but I am sure it is not caused by liberals or caused by the devil.
  If porn is causing the problem with sexual predators what is going to happen in 10, 20 or 30 years from now when the kids that are texting nude photos to each other are grown? 
 
  Did you see the story on CNN about the museum suspect’s computer?  It had child porn on it. 

Terrorism Attack

  I am not sure if the news media will call the killing of Dr. George Tiller an act of terrorism or not.  It is terrorism.  He was medical director of an abortion clinic in Wichita KS.  He was shot and killed at his church today.  A few years ago he was shot in both arms. 
  I am no fan of abortions.  I do not think many people are fans.  I guess Dr. Tiller did “late term” abortions and those sort of abortions are even less popular.

 

The United States has defined terrorism under the Federal criminal code. 18 U.S.C. §2331 defines terrorism as:

…activities that involve violent… or life-threatening acts… that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State and… appear to be intended (i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping…."

  We should deal with this murder that committed this act of terrorism in the same hash terms as we deal with other people that commit terrorism.
  
  Not having anything to do with this…but we need to try and reduce the number of abortions.  We need sex education.  We need to work with people to try and cut down on people having sex with out using good protection.

  There is no excuse however for killing doctors or bombing clinics.

Abuse in Irish Church-Run Reform Schools

“DUBLIN (AP) -- A fiercely debated, nine-year investigation into Ireland's Roman Catholic-run institutions says priests and nuns terrorized thousands of boys and girls in workhouse-style schools for decades -- and government inspectors failed to stop the chronic beatings, rapes and humiliation…”

  It is so sad.  You think of Ireland and you think Catholic. 
This make it hard to defend any religion but most of all the Catholic religion.  It went all all over Ireland and for year and years. 
  In the boys’ facilities, chiefly run by the Christian Brothers order, molestation and rape were “endemic.”
  If you read the story you will see that church leaders knew it was going on and were doing a major cover up over all those years and even now did everything they could to keep the report from coming clean.
  By the way…the Catholic high school I went to, in Kansas City, was run by the Christian Brothers order.

  Now in addition to any actions that is taken in Ireland and in courts I think the Vatican should take firm action in a case like this one.  The Christian Brothers been around since 1680.  They have done great things over hundreds of years but I think firm hard actions should be taken.  Teach the Christian Brothers order a lesson and send a message around the world.  Ban them from Ireland and turn over all the the order owns in Ireland to a fund for children in Ireland.
  I got the feeling the order has lots of holding in Ireland and that would send a powerful message. 
  I do not think Ireland would do anything like that and I do not think that would be a good idea.  We do not want to go down the road of nations kicking out religion and taking over their property.  We have seen that happen over the years.

  Think of all those thousands of kids that have had this shit to carry with them all their lives.  The story says that many of them are in their 60s and 80s now days.  It looks like those children can get $90K now and I am sure that will help them out right now but it does not cover or cure or forgive the pain they have suffered their entire life.
  If I were the Christian Brothers that did that sort of stuff to boys I would be praying that there was no God or at least praying hard that there is no hell.

  This is big news down here and in Central and South America.  This Catholic priest has a big following because of some radio broadcast and other things.
If you want to see and hear the priest and get a little idea about the story he will be on the CBS
“The Early Show” at 7 AM Monday. 
   I wonder if he will switch to a different religion.  I suspect he could take many of his followers with him.  If I were the Lutherans or some other church I would be offering him a church and a radio program. 
  He could even start his own little break away “Catholic” church.

Twittering in Church

  Time has a story on “Twittering in Church, With the Pastor’s Encouragement” and you know I love the Internet, web and high tech hardware and software but I do not think people should be twittering in church.  I do not think they should even have their cell phones turned on in church.
  I have a Twitter account and it can be very useful but not in church or in the car.
 
  I am tired of CNN and Fox “news” and others talking about and using tweeting.  I think the technology should be away to get away from the main stream media. 

  I think the CNN iReport stuff is a bad idea.  You can see now that people are running up to crime sites and accident sites with their cell phones to get video to send to CNN.  We are going to have people getting killed because of it.

  Give me the old time religion.  Give me a mass with no devices and a mass in Latin.
