I think I need Doxazosin Mesylate

I am starting to have the same problem now that I am not taking the Doxazosin Mesylate.  I am pissing often but not much is coming out and it is just in drops not in a stream.
I do not want to take the medication.  I read about it the other day and it said not to take it if I am taking other blockers like it and I am ….
But I think if I do not take it soon…  I am going to have major problems for the class on Sunday.
I am thinking just take it for the next three weeks… until I get the class done and then see a doctor and decide what to do about the medications that I am taking.
My doctor only has me taking Flomax every other day and I got a feeling that if I was taking it every day it might take care of my problem.

Hell, I just went ahead and took one of the Doxazosin Mesylate.  If MJ could take all those drugs all those years I guess I can take one to keep me from wetting my pants so I can take a class on Sunday.
  Man…it sucks getting old.
All my life I have been a person that would not take any pills..I just think you are better off not taking pill UNLESS you have to take them.  There are many people that do need to be taking medications.  It looks like for the last two or three years I have been one of them and I got the feeling I have not seen the end of it yet.

Doxazosin Mesylate

The good news and the bad news…I took Doxazosin Mesylate and I could piss with a normal stream….The bad news…both my kidneys started to hurt big time.  My entire body hurts.  It has got to be the medication and I am going to stop taking it again.
The doctor has me taking a Flomax SR 0.4 capsule B-1 every other day.  The next time I see the doctor I am going to see if he will make it every day.

My entire body hurts and my kidneys hurt big time BUT I can piss like a young man.

Christmas here

It is just like Christmas here today.  I got my UPS and my shaver.  I love to buy things and get things.
I got the UPS all hooked up … I can not wait until we have power problems now… smile.. I dare it…I double dare it.
The shaver is on charge right now so I will give it a try later today.

I had to start taking the Doxazosin Mesylate today.  I was taking 1/2 tablet each day but I took a whole one this morning and I am going to take a 1/2 one tonight and then I will go back to the 1/2 tablet each day.
I got enough for 19 days and then I got to talk the doctor into giving me a new Rx.

I am becoming my father

I was cussing the TV today.  God, I am turning into my father.  Smile
I had a lot to cuss about..but what good does it do to cuss at the TV set?

Russell, my grandson, is now 21 years of age.  God, I am getting old.

My doctor told me to stop taking Doxazosin Mesylate and I am having trouble with urination.  I need to go all the time and I do not go very much.  I will give it one more day and then I will start taking the medication again.  I have been off it for about a week and each day I am having more problems.  I have BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia).

I will be taking CERT training this month.  I will have to go three days for a total of 20 hours.  That is one reason I have to get my urination problem fixed.  I can not be leaving the training each 30 minutes to take a leak.
I will try and take some photos and videos of the training.

I will be getting a Panasonic ES4026NC men’s shaver this week.  I decided that it would be cheaper than buying blades.  I can not afford to buy blades to shave with anymore.
I also got a HP 400VA UPS with surge protection coming this week.  I can not take a chance with the power problems we been having and with FL weather.  I will feel much better when I get it hooked up and working.

Swollen Feet

Last month I was at 200 pounds and I even hit 199 one day.  Now I am at 210 pounds.  Last month my feet were not swollen.  This month both of them are swollen and one looks like it is going to explode.
It is the food I eat.  If you think I am eating fast food you are wrong.  I am just eating what I pick up at the store.
I am just eating the wrong things…Cashew nuts, Ritz Crackers and other foods with to much salt.

It looks like the only way I can eat right is to not eat.  I can lose weight and not have swollen feet and feel better if I just eat almost nothing.

I have a FL Power Ball ticket for tonight.  The jackpot is $20 million.  I could buy a lot of food with $20 million.  I guess I could hire someone to just fix health meals for me.
I have a Fl Lotto ticket for tonight and the jackpot is $7 million.

If I won a lottery, and this may surprise you, here is one thing I would buy:

darttruck
It is a scale model (1:50) of a KW Dart truck.  I worked in the body shop of KW Dart Truck (Kansas City, MO) for years and I worked in the body shop.  The person selling this item, on eBay, wants $654.41 for it.

I would never buy something like that unless I won a lottery.  I hope I am buying it soon.  Smile

Take Vicodin and Percocet off the market?

  • NEW: Panel votes to kill prescription drugs that combine acetaminophen, narcotics
  • Panel advises lower maximum doses of nonprescription acetaminophen drugs
  • Those drugs include Tylenol, NyQuil, Pamprin and Allerest
  • CDC estimates acetaminophen was the likely cause of most acute liver failures

(CNN) -- “A government advisory panel voted Tuesday to recommend eliminating prescription drugs that combine acetaminophen with narcotics -- such as Vicodin and Percocet -- because of their risk for overdose and for severe liver injury.

The panel, assembled by the Food and Drug Administration, voted 20 to 17 to advise the FDA to remove such prescription combination drugs from the market.

The group recommended that the FDA "send a clear message that there's a high likelihood of overdose from prescription narcotics and acetaminophen products," Dr. Sandra L. Kweder of the FDA's Office of New Drugs said at a news conference after Tuesday's meeting.

The panel was meeting for the second day to vote on recommendations to reduce the risk of serious liver injury associated with acetaminophen, which is found not only in prescription drugs, but also in over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol and NyQuil.

It also advised the FDA to lower the maximum daily dose of acetaminophen in over-the-counter and prescription medications, and to address the formulations and dosing recommendations for children…”

If they are talking about doing away with Vicodin and Percocet I think it would be a good idea.  A great many drug users take Vicodin and Percocet.  Hospital emergency rooms get lots of people each day that come in and pretend they have some sort of pain problem and they want Vicodin or Percocet.

The SysOp Next Door

Joe Taibi made a comment about your note "BBS: The Documentary Photos":

“I do remember you're doing something very similar and it was for that very reason i contacted you first when looking for people to join us in the Fidonet thing! I was a user of your BBS for some time before jumping in and doing it as well. By some time meaning a few months since we all know how fanatical we all were back then once we got the bug. And damnit I know you were blogging in the early 80's cause that's what Howard's NOTEBOOK was! A blog! Your Blog! But no one had coined that stupid bastardization of phrases yet! lol”

If it is not in Wikipedia it is not true.  Smile
I use Wikipedia all the time to look up information.  I guess I need to get someone to enter the information into Wikipedia.
I wish I had saved old messages and data that would be great.  I wish my memory was better.  I wish the guy that made “BBS: The Documentary” would post my two and a half hour interview.  He started posting some of the interviews with people on the Internet archive site but I guess he got tired of doing it.  It has to be a major amount of work because he interviewed over 200 people.
If you watch his documentary you will see that many of the people he interviewed still had their old computers, BBS software and all sorts of things saved.  I have nothing.
My mind is a  blank right now but the guy in Belton that was running the FidoNet hub there at the last…He owned a computer shop..I heard he died.  He was a nice guy but I did not hear about his death until later.  I think he was part of the Fido net wars that seemed to go on later.  You started up the Fidonet thing in KC but later toward the end, I think, there was some real fighting going on.  I was not part of it.  I just wanted the feeds and did not get into the fighting.
Jason Scott, creator of the documentary, asked me about FidoNet.  He had some stories about it.  It seems the fighting was taking place not just in KC but all over the United States.
There was a lot going on that I did not know about…I was sort of in my own little world and that was Howard’s Notebook
Do you remember “The Sysop Next Door” series of stories that was posted on Howard’s Notebook and that many other BBS picked up and re-printed?  You do know who the author was?  After all these years it can be told.

Diabetes diagnostic test

CNN has a very interesting story on Diabetes diagnostic test recommended as standard.  I just had the fasting plasma glucose test and my blood sugar was 121.  The doctor’s office called me and told me that I needed to come in for an A1C assay test right away.  I did not make an appointment.
So the story in CNN is very interesting to me but I noticed something in the story about the test I took already.  It says in the fasting test the patient does not eat anything for about 12 to 14 hours before a blood test.  OH NO… I fasted from midnight and my test was at 0930 hours.  That is 9 and a half hours.  I ate and drink something right up until midnight.  So I do not think my fasting glucose test was correct.
I will go in for the test next month when I get my SS money.  They are going to want $20.00 for the lab test and I will wait until next month to have them do the test. I already spent $20.00 with them this month.
I should mention that the doctor’s office before I took the blood test said I would need to fast and they would make the test early for me.  They never said 12 to 14 hours.  They just said “fasting.”  The lab girl that took my blood asked me if I had fasted and I said yes.  She never said 12 or 14 hours.  My guess is that she should have asked “When did you last eat?” and put that down.
I am sort of thinking that I should get a new doctor.  I switched to this doctor a couple of years ago and saw him on my birthday and he did an EGK in his office and sent me right over to the ER and I was admitted.  You may remember that.  So I saw him after I got out of the hospital one or two times and then they switched me over to their nurse practitioner.  I like her and she spends more time with me and listens better than the doctor but I think I should switch to some other doctor.  I would not want to tell them at their office that I do not want to see the nurse practitioner.  It would hurt her feelings and it would make for an awkward situation for me and the doctor and the nurse practitioner.  I guess I will have to think about what I am going to do now.

Sugar Free Lemonade

Since I gave up Coke I been drinking OJ and sugar free Lemonade.  I like OJ but now I keep thinking about the times I gave OJ to people with low blood sugar and now I am drinking it and my blood sugar is 121.
I am also sick and tired of Lemonade.  I know I was drinking way to much Coke but I had the feeling that since I had been drinking it all my life maybe I should just keep on drinking it.  Hell, I am 68 years old now.
But then I sound like the ER patients that would come into the ER and could not breathe.  They would have to get a breathing treatment and sometimes end up on a vent and then later they would demand that they be allowed to smoke.  No smoking was allowed so I would have to take them outside and they would smoke and tell me that they think smoking is good for them because their grandfather smoked until he was 90 and never had any problems and because they think that their coughing clears out their lungs.  God I hope I am not sounding like them now about Coke.

I do not have diabetes yet.  At least I do not think I have it yet.  The doctor’s office wants me to come in and have a test to find out since my blood sugar is now 121.
I wonder if becoming a vegetarian now would help me out.  I love meat and even though I am a left wing liberal I am not crazy about the vegetarians that make it a religion.  I guess with me it could become sort of a religion but it would be like how I am now a Catholic that never goes to mass.
Could switching to a vegetarian diet cure diabetes?

Danger Danger Jim

Cross your fingers that I do not mess up ShowMeBlog.  I just set up a new blog with TypePad.  TyepPad is the blog hosting company that I use for ShowMeBlog.
So now there are three sites I will have on TypePad.  One is a site I am setting up for my ex-wife.
Well each of them is going to have their own domain name.
I got a feeling there is going to be some cross over unless I make a change to the domain settings for this blog.
That scares me….If I do something wrong..no telling what will happen.

  Wish me luck.

Yesterday I was so tired…It was hard to do anything…I am not sure how many of you can understand being that tired.  It took all my effort to just change channels with the remote control on the TV set.  That is tired.
It is 8 AM and I do not feel as tired as yesterday.
Also yesterday my neck and back were hurting.  I would like to win a lottery.  I would have a hot tub and hire someone to give me a couple of massages each day.

One reason my neck and back may have hurt is that yesterday I spent a bit over four hours playing Civilization IV.  I guess no wonder my neck and back hurt.
