Back years ago I paid for a lifetime subscription to the AVS4YOU software. I used their software and I loved it. I commented about their software here and on one or more YouTube videos.
They have a deal you can pay, right now it is, $39.00 for a one year subscription for all 18 of their programs. I signed up for the time time offer which right now is on special for $59.00 and the normal price is $199.00 for it.
I was very happy with the software. You get a long registration code. I knew when I saw that code that I would have problems.
I think 2009 was about the last time it worked for me. I installed Windows RC in 2009. I think the code worked for me then but if I remember correct I could not get it to work after that.
The message I get is that I am trying to use their software on more than one computer. That is not true. I have just had to re-install the O/S on this computer.
I remember contacting them a couple of times since 2009 and I have not had any luck. Hell, I seem to think I even paid again for the software. I am not sure about that but I think I did. They have places you can get “help” but seems I was not able to get any help but I do not remember the details.
I hate software that you get a “registration” code for that you have to enter that is locked to the computer you are using at that time. I understand they are trying to prevent themselves from having people use their software for free or on a bunch of computers but their system sucks.
I have had other software over the years that gave me the same fucking problem.
I guess if you install Windows O/S and never have to format or you never get a new computer then everything will work fucking great.
Some software people just give you one code and it is good after that. WebCamMax is one of them BUT what the author of that software does is keep having the software say there is an important upgrade with fixes in it. I think he does that about each month or two. I have never seen a fucking change to the program in years. So you download the “new” upgrade and it ask if you want to make Ask.Com your home page, your search site and something else. I always say NO NO NO NO… It always changes my home page, search site etc. I am sure that the author has a lot of people that just leave those settings and he gets some sort of income from Ask.Com out of it.
Well I contacted AVS4YOU again and I will see if I get any help. I love their software. All of their 18 programs are great. The software is well worth the price but I hate going through this crap. Plus I have not been able to use their software since about 2009 now. It is 2012 now!

I will be 71 years old next month. I have been a Democrat my entire life. I never voted for a Republican for any office.
But a change has come over me. I now own stock.
Yes, my friends I own 3750 shares of stock. I own 250 shares of Mawson Resources Ltd. Right now it is worth $1.30 a share. So that investment is worth $325.00 so I need to be a Republican correct?
I also own 3500 shares of Mexus Gold US. Each share is worth, right now, $0.09 a share for a total for me of $329.00 so I have got to become a Republican correct?
I wonder how much money, over the years, I have spent on lottery tickets or in casinos. I wonder if poor people might be better off buying “penny stocks.”
They say that your chance of winning a big lottery is the same as being hit by lightning. The chance of being hit by lightning is 1 in 1,000,000. I saw something that said the odds of winning the Texas lottery was 1 in 25,827,165. The odds of being attacked by a shark are 1 in 11,500.000 according to the University of Florida.
I could not find anything about the odds of picking the correct penny stock. I did find a lot of sites that say it is just not possible to pick a penny stock and get rich or even make any money.
So I guess I better say a Democrat until I win a lottery.

Darlene and Jimmy went to Walmart and they will be home soon. They pick up stuff for me at Walmart. So I will get some rice today and I can start to use my rice cooker.
Russ likes rice and I may get him to try eating it. The only problem is I think he will give it one try and if it is not good he will never eat it again. You do not get a second chance with him.
I have a rice cooker cookbook and it has 250 recipes so I got lots of ones that I can try.

I microwaved a chicken strip for breakfast. The ends always get a bit hard. So I was chewing away on a hard bit. Then when done I noticed a hole in my upper left tooth. I suspect I had a filling there. Now I just got a hole.
I guess I will have to see the dentist one day. I am pretty lucky it is rare for me to have tooth pain.
The next medical thing I got to do is have lab work done and then see my doctor after he gets the lab results.

It is not raining or snowing right now. It did start doing what you see on the left at about 8:30 PM. But now at 2 AM there is just a wet sidewalk and a little snow on top of the grass and cars.
The photo to the left was taken at 8:30 PM just as the snow started.
It looks like all we get today is some light rain and then a low of 40 degrees and a high of 56 degrees.
So I can get out and pick up some Coke. I would like to get down to Subway and get a couple of their $5.00 subs. This month their standard 12 inch subs are $5.00 of course that was the old price anyway.
The Subways open at 7 AM and I like that but I do not think I will go today. There is a block or two with no sidewalks to get to it. So I would have to walk in mud. (OK, I could go across the street and walk down on that side walk. But I am lazy.)
I posted here about Pintoli compression socks. Since I said good things about compression socks and about the Pintoli socks I would like to be honest and upfront with you. The company liked my Amazon review and what I said about their socks and on Saturday I received free two pair of compression socks.
They sent one pair of Pintoli socks travel & trouser (large size) PTI-1067. They also sent one pair of athletic PTI-1066 (XL size) because I had blogged that I wanted to try XL.
I think you all know that I am honest about what I say here and a pair or two of socks is not going to bribe me. (It would take three pair. Just kidding. Smile)
Last night I was just looking around on the web to see what I could find. I found sites back in the Kansas City area that list who was arrested. It gives their names and information about them. In fact it list everyone arrested by that police department. I also found sites that list everyone in their jail and the names and information on the ones released.
The Cass County site listed people wanted. Long list. Thank God my name was not listed non any of my family.
In the listing of people in jail I did find the name of a kid that was my son’s age. So he would be about 30 years old now. He was a wild kid when he was a teen. We heard that the kid got arrested by the local police for drugs. Then a day or two later he was out of jail. He called my son and my daughter and we heard he called other kids their age and was asking if they could get him drugs. The police had offered him a deal, I guess, give us other names and set someone up for us.
Well I see he is jail now for domestic assault and for a felony probation violation.
I love the internet and information. I would have loved when I was working hospital security to access to all this sort of information. When I arrested someone I would have loved to look up and see what the charge was listed as and their court date and their bond and information like that and loved to know when they were released. Hell I arrested a guy one time and he must have had bond money in his pocket because a couple of hours later he came back to the hospital and I arrested him again.
Of course it sounds like some of those sites are not undated in real time.
But I also am not sure about the information. When I was a kid my father was arrested a couple of times for DWI. I would not have wanted that information out there for people to find.
I also had other family members that had got arrested. I would hate to have others finding that sort of information.
We lived in a small town (30K people) for years and the local paper printed the names and information of everyone that had contact with the police. I mean everything…. stopped for speeding…barking dog etc. I guess it all comes down to if it is someone else getting the bad PR or your family or friends.

I wish I had a car but if I did I would not get out with a chance of sleet for DFW. The people down here have no idea how to drive in that sort of weather.
It seems like I spent half my life driving on ice, snow and sleet.
Many a time I was out driving around on solid ice.
It is 28 degrees here in Fort Worth and that is cold for here. Please do not laugh at us Europe and the north part of the United States.
After I lived in Orlando (FL) and Jimmy and I came to Carrollton (TX) I did FAA control tower security. One morning when I got off work at Love Field I headed home and there was some sleet and ice on a few spots on the streets and there was not much traffic (might have been a Sunday morning) but the few cars I saw were having problems. For me, having lived in Kansas City, it was nothing. I had no problems. It was big news on the TV that day. Not that I knew how to drive on ice but that they got ice in DFW area.
I remember the times I went into Raymore PD and took out a car and I was the only officer on the roads or even on duty for the city. There were times when there was snow all over the place and I had to patrol city streets and country roads. I never had a problem.
One time however… It was not winter but the Kansas City area had not had a drop of rain for months. I was running radar and it was about 3 AM and almost no traffic. We just started to have a little mist (rain) coming down for the first time in months. I was thinking I am one of the first to know we are getting some rain. A car came speeding down 58 highway and I hit the gas and pulled out on 58 highway and the highway was SLICK. My patrol car did a 360 degree spin on the road. Scared the hell out of me.. I drove on down the highway a little bit but I turned off the red lights and looked around to make sure no one saw me make an ass out of myself.
I went on down to a closed gas station and pulled into their lot. A car came down the highway and pulled in and the drive said.. Did you get that guy? I said no. He said.. Wow we saw him speeding and he did a 360 degree spin on the highway. I do not think they knew that was me or they were just having some fun with me.
Funny that a little rain made me lose control and all those years of being on ice and snow did not.
When I had my own patrol and guard service for about a year I did spend one entire night checking my accounts in a bad snow storm. Then when it was morning headed home and was about a block from home and came up to a stop sign and went off into a little ditch and put a dent in the front of the car.
Well it is 7:10 AM. I been up since 2 AM. I think I will just go to bed and when I wake up maybe it will be a bit warmer.

Dick, a long time friend, from the Kansas City area just sent me the image of a Powerball ticket. It has five on it for the drawing tonight. So if my two tickets from up the street do not win maybe one of the five from Missouri will win.
It is about $325 million dollars. That is a big jackpot. After taxes someone is going to have about $200 million dollars to spend. If I win I will have to spend it fast because I will be 71 years of age in March.
