Watch coverage of Michael Jackson Memorial?

The following is a comment from Dick Williams:

CNN POLL
How will you watch coverage of Michael Jackson memorial?
TV 13% 17488
Web 10% 13649
Not watching 78% 108297

  A poll on CNN.com

Enough and too much. The guy was talented but left a murky and

tarnished legacy. All the negatives seem to be forgotten in the rush

to make him into a  pop hero. I don't see that he used his celebrity

as some other rich celebrities  have done -like Oprah, Bill Gates,

Angelina Jolie  - all with a string of charitable works and

gifts.   He used his money for a self indulgent lifestyle that ended

up destroying him.

Michael Jackson’s Mom Fears Looting

Michael Jackson was strange.  I was never a fan of MJ but I got to admit he could sing and dance and he made some great music and videos.
The thing with the little boys…well..very odd…they way he lived was so odd that I just have to think that he had major mental problems.

I did not hate Michael Jackson.  He was found not guilty of the child porn stuff and we have to go with the jury when they decide a court case.  I think now that the cover up may come to and end with his death.
The world is going crazy right now with Michael Jackson love  and some of that may go the other direction when information starts to come to light.

What is making me sick is his family.  TMZ.COM and other sites are reporting that the family is concerned about other people looting and they want control of his bank accounts.
Michael Jackson’s body was not even cold yet and I saw on TV that his father had sent a truck to the house were MJ died to get his stuff.
His father, Joe Jackson,  showed up on the red carpet at the BET Awards the other day.  His father had all sorts of gold hanging around his neck.  He just looked looked like a low life.  He said we just lost “the biggest star” etc.  If you want to see an interview with Joe Jackson on the red carpet here it is:
Michael Jackson’s father Joe Jackson BET Awards 2008 CNN.

It seems that Joe Jackson is talking business and plugging new music projects.  I heard talk of concerts by other family members.  They wanted to do it in the past and Michael Jackson would not do it and they are saying now they may do it.

Michael Jackson is getting a lot of love and tears from his fans.  I do not see tears in the eyes of his father and others…No tears just dollar signs.
It sort of seems like the good do die young.  Michael Jackson dead at 50 and his father still alive at 79.

I know I just said Michael Jackson was “good” and I am not sure about that. If what MJ said about his father was true then MJ problems and mental condition may not be his fault but we can lay at the feet of his father.

Susan Boyle made it to the final show

Last night Susan Boyle sang “Memory” from Cats on the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final show.  She made it to the final show.  Here song lacked the power of the past.  She was weak a bit in the song.  Most of all the first line or two.  I suspect it was picked for her and recommend to her and it may not be one she sang in the past.  But she made it and I have no question she will win.  There is a movie in the works and the will want the movie ending with her winning and singing for the queen.

I hope life works out well for her.  But with fame and money the odds are it will not.  What are the odds that she is going to find a nice guy now and if she gets a rotten guy she is not going to end up a happy woman.  I just hope things work out well for her.

Susan Boyle As You Have Never Seen Her Before

Susan Boyle could have been discovered 25 years ago when she performed on video at a local talent show.

Video has emerged of Susan Boyle singing back when she was a comely 22-year-old.

The tape was unearthed by Gerry McGuinness, 61, who was in the audience that night at Motherwell Football Club's social club in Scotland.

"She was so shy, but she was also very attractive back then--she turned a few heads when she came in. She didn't win the contest, though," he said.

"I didn't recognize Susan as the girl on my video when I first saw her on Britain's Got Talent until a relative called and asked me if I still had the tape.

"It's great she is finally getting some recognition."

Kings Firecrackers

I posted two videos of Kings Firecrackers on here in the past.  Here is a much better video of them doing their thing.

About the Firecrackers

The Firecrackers are a performance jump rope team made up of talented 4th-8th graders from the Kings Local School District in Ohio. Coached by Lynn Kelley, they perform at venues across the country. Some notable past performances have been at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a Presidential Inauguration and an appearance on The David Letterman Show.

YouTube Goes After Hulu

YouTube has added movies and TV shows.  It looks like they are going after HuLu.  It looks like they have more movies and shows than Hulu.  I watched a old TV show on YouTube and the first part of a movie.  I am not expert so I will leave it for others to comment.
I think part of it is going to come down to who displays the content better.

“…Google took the wraps off a partnership with Hollywood studios bringing movies and TV shows to U.S. consumers via its YouTube video network. Some of the big-named partners inking a deal with YouTube are Sony, CBS, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, BBC, and independent film studio Lions Gate Entertainment. Each agreed to showcase some of its catalog content on the Google-owned video site…”  PC World

I think we are going to hear a lot more about this YouTube vs Hulu.

Susan Boyle’s First Every Song Release

“THE Daily Record has uncovered the only CD ever made by Scotland’s singing sensation Susan Boyle.

It emerged last night that Susan, whose Britain’s Got Talent triumph has made her an instant superstar, is being lined up for an appearance
on the Oprah Winfrey show which would give her the chance of a number one album in the US.

But the Record can reveal she made her first recording back in 1999, when she sang blues ballad Cry Me A River for a charity CD.

Only 1000 copies of the disc were ever produced, but we’ve got hold of the long-forgotten recording and it’s now on our site. A showbiz insider said: “This is a real coup for the Record. The whole world would have wanted to find this.

“People will be scrambling to get their hands on this CD. They will be like gold dust soon.”…”
