T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google

“T-Mobile USA's follow-up to the first "Google phone" will go on sale in early August, the carrier said Monday.

The "T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google" will be a touch-screen phone and will lack the physical keyboard of the T-Mobile G1, the first phone that used Google Inc.'s Android software.

The G1 went on sale in October. T-Mobile has sold more than 1 million of the phones.

Google is giving away the software, because the company's goal is to make Android the basis for phones across the industry, stimulating the use of its Web services on mobile devices.

Google is getting some traction. Verizon Wireless has said it will bring out an Android phone "in the near future." Motorola Corp. is betting big on Android, and aims to have its first products out late this year…”    Yahoo! Tech

I like the idea of the Google type phone.  I could be happy with it.  But I do not want to pay $80.00 plus each month for the service and I no longer want to have a contract for x number of years.  I like the idea of the flat rate pay as you go plans.
So I may just stay with MetroPCS, I just spent $300.00 for a phone, until they offer one of the phones.

Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard

I guess I am in the market for a new keyboard now.  It will give me an excuse to buy the Saitek Eclipse II keyboard.  I put it on my Amazon Wish List but do not have the money for it right now.  I can not stand this current white Logitech keyboard.  I may have to do a switch of keyboards on the Linux computer that Ken is using in this room.

Anyone know how the Saitek Eclipse II works, right now, with Windows 7 RC?

maestro1.sys

I am running Windows 7 RC and it has been working excellent for me.  A few days ago I was sitting at the computer and I have no idea what I was doing at the time or perhaps more to the point what I had just done and my computer started to act funny.
Text on the screen was hi-lighted like I had marked the text for copy, cut or paste.  My mouse acted odd.  I did a re-boot and the computer still acted different.
I do not re-boot often but for the last day or two when I reboot I get the blue screen.

CIMG0607

As you can see it looks like “maestro1.sys” is the problem.

“Description: File Maestro1.sys is located in the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 7,850 bytes (80% of all occurrence), 7,818 bytes.
The driver can be started or stopped from Services in the Control Panel or by other programs. The program has no visible window. It is a keyboard driver, can record inputs. The service has no detailed description. The file is not a Windows core file. Maestro1.sys seems to be a compressed file. Therefore the technical security rating is 59% dangerous, however also read the users reviews.”

OH yes, remember my G-15 keyboard had problems at that time and I hooked up a new keyboard and I installed a driver for it.  I bet that is the problem.
Windows is fun fun all the time.
I am still sold on Windows 7 RC.
I need to see if I can fix this current problem.

Update:  I was using an HP Multimedia keyboard.  An old but nice keyboard and it seems to have been the last problem.  I am now using an old white Logitech keyboard but I do not like the feel of the keys. The action on some of the keys does not feel right.  The shift key, for one, feels a bit like it sticks.  I got a feeling someone spilled something on this keyboard.

Looking for an AM/FM TV band radio that will get DTV audio

“I'm looking for a AM/FM TV band radio that will get the new DTV

audio.  Lots of stuff called digital radio receivers but that doesnt

mean they're setup for the new TV audio signal. They use the word

digital to mean digital tuning versus the old manual tuning.

I'm not sure anybody's selling  a DTV radio receiver.   So put the

HNB clan to work on finding me a DTV receiver with AM/FM and WX band

would be a bonus.

I'd guess Sony or Sangean will have one soon if not already.  The

nomenclature is tricky since most radios are termed digital now and

the new tv signal is called digital so big confusion factor.

MetroPCS

I paid $100.00 for a Boost Mobile phone and signed up for their $50.00 a month unlimited plan less than a month ago.  I have not been happy with the service or the phone.
If I can come up with $350.00 this month I am going to get a phone from MetroPCS and sign up for their unlimited service.  I will then cancel the Boost Mobile service and use their phone as a paper weight.

I will get $250.00 this month so I just need to come up with an extra $100.00 and I will sign up for MetroPCS service and get their Samsung Finesse phone.

Here is a YouTube video that shows you the phone.

Right now I just have to wait for the $250.00 and then I have to come up with an extra $100.00 and I will be using the Samsung Finesse phone with MetroPCS and Boost Mobile will be history.

Lenovo Ideapad S10 netbook

I am becoming a big fan of reviews of hardware on video sites like YouTube.  I just saw a review of the Lenovo S10 Netbook.

I put it on my Amazon WishList.  I think I will get one of them with my $250.00 money that is coming this month.  I will have to add some more money to that $250.00 because the cost is about $400.00 for the S10.
One thing I like about the S10 is that all the extra things you might want to add to it do not cost that much money. Right now from Amazon you can get 2GB of memory for only $20.00 and that is a deal.

I mostly post to my blogs and check email and surf the Internet. If I had this notebook  last week I would have taken it to jury duty with me and been surfing the net in the jury holding room and sending some live video.  That would have killed a lot of time and been interesting.
I am going to try and get the notebook.  I may not have the money to get it this month.

3D Webcam

415 bbs7 AL._SL500_AA280_

Oh my God here is something I have got to get.  It is a webcam and it is 3D.  I could have so much fun with a 3D webcam.
Plus it should work with Linux on my computer.  The price is $89.99 and they have it at Amazon.

I put it on my Amazon WishList.  I am not sure when I can afford to get it but I will be getting one for sure.  When I get it I will let you know how it works.
Eight people did a review of it on Amazon.  Two gave it five stars.
I see in one review that you get five pair of 3D glasses with the camera.  Do I have five friends that want to watch me in 3D?  Smile
The reviews of the camera are not great but that fact that it works with Linux is great.

Amazon

I am not sure how many years I been telling you about thing for sale on Amazon.  Not because I am signed up with them an get a commission but because they have a lot of neat stuff and good service and good prices.
I would get a commission because I often have my code built in the item.
My point is that I have been doing it for years and I have never made one cent from Amazon.  I made a few dollars with CafePress, Zazzle and many others but never a cent with Amazon.
I will keep telling you about things and often have a link to the item but I will be very surprised if I ever see one cent in commission from Amazon.

From January 1st 2009 to March 31st of 2009 97 people clicked on one of the links and not one sale.
