    You can read the CNN story but I just got to put in my two-cents on the subject.  At one time federal buildings were guarded by private contract guards from services like Pinkerton, Burns and others.
     The contract company would bid on the contract and the lowest bidder would get the contract.  In a couple of years the contract would come up again and often one of the other guard services would bid less and get the contract. 
     What took place most of the time is the guard working for the one company would just quit and go to work for the other company that got the contract.  So it would be new company and same guards.
     The contract guards got higher pay because the government as part of the contract said that a certain percent of the money had to go to the officers.
      The guard company would say that they gave their guards training but in fact they gave none.  I know I worked for years for them as a second job on my days off from my full time job.  I worked for Burns, Pinkerton, Well-Fargo and many others.  I also owned stock in a couple of them and I would see their report to stockholders and they would show photos and stacks of books and videos that they said they gave to employees as training.  It never happened.  One company showed me a 15 minute slide show one time and that was it.
      

DEA Joins Jackson Death Investigation

LOS ANGELES -- The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration is joining the investigation of Michael Jackson's death at the behest of the Los Angeles Police Department, according to a federal source.
The LAPD asked the DEA to come onboard as Jackson's possible abuse of prescription medications came into focus in the days following his death. Of particular use to the investigation will be the DEA's expertise when it comes to illicit prescription drugs known as "mill pills," the anonymous source said.
The DEA is equipped to look at any doctors who might have prescribed such pills to see if they were licensed by the agency. Federal drug investigators can also look into the source of any illicit prescription drugs and examine whether there might be a trafficking pattern, the source said...”

  I commented on the DEA getting in this investigation a few days ago. I got some limited training from the DEA a couple of times many years ago.  I do have a question however…When the FBI is doing an investigation if they interview you and you lie that is a crime.  I have commented on that here a few times.  I do not think it should be a crime to lie to the FBI if they come to you and ask you questions.  I hope, now, however that it is a federal crime to lie to a DEA agent if he is interviewing you.
  I do not think I am alone in wanting everyone that was getting or giving Jackson drugs to go to jail.  It sounds like some doctors will soon not be doctors anymore and it sounds like some of them may end up in a jail cell.

Jackson’s doctor cooperating with investigation

  CNN reports that Michael Jackson’s doctor is cooperating with the investigation.  Do you believe that?
  He got a lawyer and he is not going to let the doctor tell the police the truth.  In fact I do not think the lawyer would let the doctor say much.  I think the lawyer told the police that the doctor would only meet with them and “talk” to them if the police put out a statement saying that he was cooperating with the police.
  What is the doctor going to tell the police?  Is the doctor going to say I been getting drugs by fraud?  Each time he used a fake Rx or fake name or how ever he did it… each time would be a felony.  How many counts of drug by fraud do you think we are talking about?  How many times has the doctor committed a crime by breaking FDA laws?
  I have no inside information.  I have no contacts.
  Will I be correct in this matter?
  We will find out.  I am not sure if it is going to be next month or a couple of months but we will find out.

Emergency Workers Felt Jackson Dead at Scene

  In my post here at ShowMeBlog on Thursday the 25th (1929 hours) you will remember in “Michael Jackson Dead dead  d e a d  - DRT” that I was screaming and carrying on about the fact that Michael Jackson was dead at the house.

  TMZ has a report posted Friday the 26th (1245 hours) “Emergency Workers Felt Jackson Dead at Scene.” 

“When EMTs arrived at Michael Jackson's home yesterday, the medics wanted to pronounce him dead on the scene -- but Michael's personal doctor refused to let them "call it" -- this according to sources close to the situation.
When EMTs arrived there was evidence someone had been performing CPR on Michael for "quite some time." There was evidence of Lidocaine -- an old-school drug that can be used to treat disturbances in the heart's rhythm. Medics took over performing CPR but determined Jackson was lifeless -- and wanted to call the coroner to pick up the body.
We're told Jackson was flat-lined when EMTs arrived.
But our sources say M.J.'s doc demanded EMTs continue performing CPR anyway, and demanded that they take Michael to the hospital.
Once they arrived at UCLA, we're told Jackson's doc continued to personally administer CPR -- even though it was clear Jackson was already gone.”

  My God…I am speechless…Well..OK.. I am never speechless…
  I am not even sure I can get my head around this…  performing CPR for “quite some time” and had time to give Lidocaine… 
  By the way.. if you have never done CPR.. doing CPR is hard.. even two man CPR is hard.. one man is harder..It is a wonder the EMTs did not have to code the doctor if he had been doing CPR for a very long.
  It will take sometime but this doctor will soon be an ex-doctor.  I expect to see him do jail time.  I am sure he has been writing out fake Rx and doing all sorts of crimes. The state and the FDA are going to hang his ass.
  His defense for not calling 911 is going to be that he could not call because he started CPR and he could not stop. 

  I do not blame the EMTs for transporting the dead body to the hospital.   Because there was a “doctor” (Dr. Conrad Murray) there and he is a heart doctor demanding that they transport.

  Who killed Michael Jackson?  He was the cause of his own death.
Plus the people around him that got him drugs and the doctors that wrote out the Rx so get “legal” drugs.
  Now the state drugs agencies and the DEA should have got wind of this and taken some action.  My guess is that it is very hard with someone that MJ that has money and movies around all the time.  I suspect that the FDA likes to play cops and military and do all sort of fancy things with guns and they need to have more officers in suits doing book keeping paperwork.   It is simple stuff like you may have a drug store that has a history of selling 50 units of Demerol a month and all of a sudden they start selling 500 units of Demerol. You send an officer to see what is going on. 

  Right now there are a lot of sad people around the world.  They are sad because they were fans of Michael Jackson.
  Right now there is a “doctor” and he is sad…he is very sad…he is crying his eyes out right now… His medical practice is going to be over soon and he will soon not be a doctor and he will soon be in a jail cell.
  When I say “soon” it is going to take sometime.  Hell, they are not going get the drug screens back on MJ for four to six weeks.  I do not think you need to worry about taking the doctor’s passport.  I do not think he can afford to buy a ticket to get out of the United States.
  I have been seeing everyone in the world on TV commenting about their friend Michael Jackson.  They all talk about MJ and how they knew him and spent time with him.  One guy said that MJ wanted him to take his kids if something happened to him.
  The only person I have NOT seen on TV is the person that was living with him and was the last person to see MJ alive.  Where is Dr. Conrad Murray?

S.C. Governor was in Argentina!

COLUMBIA, South Carolina (CNN) -- “South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford did not spend the last five days hiking the Appalachian Trail -- as his staff indicated -- but instead was in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he told The State newspaper.

Spotted returning from the trip at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, Wednesday morning, the Republican governor told The State he had considered hiking the Appalachian Trail after his state's busy legislative season ended but instead decided differently.

"I wanted to do something exotic. It's a great city," Sanford said, referring to Buenos Aires.

The governor will speak with reporters Wednesday at 2 p.m. ET, his office announced.

Sanford's staff and family seemed to be in the dark about his whereabouts. Sanford also said no one else accompanied him on the trip, the paper reported. The Republican governor and possible 2012 contender told the newspaper only that he took a drive along the coastline on his trip…”

  OK I am GOING to watch that meeting with reporters today at 2 PM.  My God, this is all crazy.  My first feeling is that the people of S.C. should remove him from office and right now.
  I do not think I have to go into any details as why they should remove him.  That should be clear to any of you.
  Then my feeling is that he is a right wing Republican and hard core so I would bet money he was with a woman or a little boy  having sex. 
  He would not accept $700 million in federal stimulus money to help the people of his state but how much does the security for him cost and then he just takes off without security.  If he does not security take it away from him. It might even like that.  Plus I would take away from him the use of any police vehicles.  Hell he drove one away and no one knew were it was and he left it parked at an airport and we all know how secure parking a car in a parking lot is don’t we? 
  He just needs to have his ass kicked out of office.

Goodbye Wackenhut

  Wackenhut Security has been the security company doing security for years for the Miami-Dade Transit system.  They been doing the security for 20 years.  They been making $17 million a year.
  I been reading about over billing for years and amounts that run from $6 to $3 million.
  It appears that a new company has the contract. 

  Last Sunday Chevor Wint a security officer with Security Alliance was shot and killed at work by two men.  I think he was doing security for the transit system.  He was killed the Metrorail’s Earlington Heights station.

  “…The county manager is recommending that 50 State Security provide armed officers at all Metrorail and Metromover stations. A joint venture combining Professional Protection and Investigations Inc. and Security Alliance is also proposed to provide unarmed guards at all bus and rail maintenance facilities.

Separately, Allied Barton Security Services is recommended to take over security at the county's Juvenile Services Department, a job held by Wackenhut since 1998.

The proposals are scheduled to go before the Budget, Planning and Sustainability Committee on May 12 and the County Commission on June 2.

But even if commissioners agree to remove Wackenhut, the security firm may not go before its contract expires in November. The reason: Burgess said a transition to new security firms will take at least three months.

   My God, does this story, in the Miami Herald, mean that not only was the guard killed brand new to working transit security but that he was not armed?

A young woman who was standing aside with her father watching the protests was shot by a basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house. He had clear shot at the girl and could not miss her. However, he aimed straight her heart. I am a doctor, so I rushed to try to save her. But the impact of the gunshot was so fierce that the bullet had blasted inside the victim's chest, and she died in less than 2 minutes.
The protests were going on about 1 kilometers away in the main street and some of the protesting crowd were running from tear gass used among them, towards Salehi St.”

WARNING do not watch this video if you are under 18 years of age or if you are upset by things like this… again..this is not pretty… But it needs to be seen by the world.

  The people of Iran just want some freedom.  I fear all you and I can do is pray that the leaders of Iran will decide to allow some freedom for the people.

Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators

  We live in a nice condo, we rent, in a nice area of Miami FL.  I just did a search on the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators web site and there are 8 registered sexual offenders living within one mile of this house.
  The also gave a list of 256 offenders that they said to watch out for because they have “absconded” and they do not know where they are but they could be in this area.

  There should not be that many sexual offenders around here.  This was just a one mile area.  Think of the numbers of offenders that are all over the United States.
  There is something wrong and something needs to be done.  I am not talking about locking them all up and forgetting about them.  There should be some sort of study done.  What causes a person to become an offender?  Is it porn?  Is is drinking or doing drugs? 
  We can not afford to lock them all up.  We need to find some way to fix them before they start doing their crimes.

  We have to stop bring in religion and blue and red states in the mix.  We can not get anything done because the right want to make it a matter of sin and they want to blame the left for the problem.
  I am not sure if it is a mental problem or a medical problem or just what the cause of this mass of offenders is but I am sure it is not caused by liberals or caused by the devil.
  If porn is causing the problem with sexual predators what is going to happen in 10, 20 or 30 years from now when the kids that are texting nude photos to each other are grown? 
 
  Did you see the story on CNN about the museum suspect’s computer?  It had child porn on it. 

Guns allowed in parks, bars and restaurants

“NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - A proposal to allow handguns to be carried in city or county parks in Tennessee has been signed by the governor.

Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen signed the measure Friday and it will take effect Sept. 1.

On Thursday, the House sponsor said he was abandoning the provision in exchange for Bredesen's commitment not to veto a separate bill about weapons in restaurants.

But the Senate sponsor, Republican Mae Beavers of Mt. Juliet, said there was never an agreement.

Last month, Bredesen vetoed a bill to allow guns to be carried in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol. That veto was overwhelmingly overridden in both chambers of the Legislature.

  It sounds like the Republicans control the Legislature in Tennessee for sure.  In the back of my mind I think sometimes that I might like to live in a little place in TN or KY.  I think I will take Tennessee off that list.
  Guns have no place around alcohol.  Bars are the last place that you want to have some fool with a gun.  If TN is going to allow guns in bars then why not allow people to drive drunk? 
   Many years ago I had a cousin killed in Dallas TX.  He was in a bar with a friend and they got mad at each other and went out to the parking lot to fight.  I do not know all the details of it but my guess is that my cousin was getting the best of his friend and the friend pulled out a gun and shot my cousin dead.  Guns and alcohol do not mix.
    Take it from an ex-police officer and from a guy that work hospital security for 30 years.  
     I hope there will be some sort of stats so that they can find out how stupid their actions are and correct it later.

Joe Scarborough is just like all the other Republicans

  I was sort of a fan of Joe Scarborough.  Well not a fan but I did respect his views and looked forward to is take on some subjects.  My feeling was that he was not a total right wing nut case.  Well the recent couple of weeks have shown us that it was all just an act.  He is just like all of the other Republicans and he followed their talking points a few weeks ago.
  He was laughing then but he is not laughing now.
  Now we know that he is a total fake.  Now we can see that he just is a better actor that the rest of them.
