People are leaving South Florida

  Florida's population is dipping to a 30-year low.  People are leaving South Florida.  The high cost of living is driving them away.  I think the hurricane season a few years ago also sent many people looking for someplace else.  There are fewer jobs here. 
  I think a lot of English speaking people leave the Miami area because they feel like they are in a third world nation.
  I was born and raised in Kansas City (MO).  I love it here. The weather is great.  The beaches are excellent.  There is always something going on here in Miami. 
  I have a son and grandson here.  We are all sharing a condo.  The cost of renting here is sky high.  Real estate costs are unreal.  I am sure I will stay here as long as my son and grandson can put up with me. 
  My son and I have discussed moving.  My son has a good paying job and he could transfer to TX, NM or VA.  There are other locations that he could transfer to. 
  We might move to Tampa (FL).  Right now we plan to stay here in FL. 
 
  I recommend Miami (FL) as a place to come and visit.  Come down and have a vacation here.  Do not move down here unless you have a good job or a lot of money.  Do not plan on living in Miami unless you speak Spanish.
  If you're young and you want to live and work here in the Miami area you need to speak English and Spanish. 

Barack Obama the Democratic Nominee?

  I do not think that Barack Obama has become the Democratic nominee yet?  I just do not feel good about Barack Obama.  I still want that dream ticket.  I want Hillary Clinton the nominee and Barack Obama running for vice president with her.
  I can understand why Barack Obama would not want that second place slot. 
  If I were Howard Dean, Al Gore and other people in the party I would have gone to Barack Obama and asked him to take the second place slot.  When he said he was going for the top slot I would have told him it is not your time yet.  I would have told him next time we will all put our support behind you.  When Obama said no he wanted to run get the nomination now again I would say this is NOT your time.  Then I would say we are all asking you for the nation and for the party to step back and take the second place slot.
  If we had powerful leaders in the Democratic party we could say next time you will have our support.  If you do not do what is good for the nation now then you will not have our support this time and not next time.

  The problem is the power people in the party have already given their support to Obama. 

  The way the Democratic and Republican parties worked in the past was that someone would start at the bottom and work their way up.  You might be a teenager and you would worked unpaid doing something for the party.  (I did as a teen on election day a long time ago.)
  Then you would work your way up getting elected to office or by speaking and working for the party for years and years. 
  FDR, Harry Truman and even Ronald Reagan started out working for their party for years. 
  In the recent times we have had Republicans with lots of their own money that wanted to take a fast track to the White House but the American people do not like someone buying their way to being the nominee.

  If Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee I will work for his election and I will vote for him.  I think this is the time for Hillary Clinton. 

Stimulus Package

  My Google PageRank is still 0.  For years it was 4 and a few months ago it went to zero. 
It has an effect.  Let me tell you about just one effect it has on HNB.  I am signed up with PayPerPost.  I can post about something here in the blog and get paid for it.
  They decide which opportunities you can take and write about and how much you get paid using the Google PageRank.  If I had my old page rank of 4, I could pick from 176 opportunities.  How many do I get to pick from now?  I get to pick from 7 right now.

 Interesting movie.  I am not sure how I feel about the movie.  I never want to watch it again but it was interesting. 

Table and chairs

  I got the table and chairs that Milford sent for my birthday.
  I got the table ready and am working on the chairs.

214 pounds

  I am now at 214 pounds.  That is the most I have weighed in my life.  My dream weight would be 160 pounds.  I will never see that weight again.  My new goal now is to get to 190 pounds and stay at that weight.
  There is a health club a few blocks from here.  I cannot afford a monthly membership and would I use the membership if I had it.
  I am going to have to lose weight.  I need to eat less food and I need to get my ass out of this condo and start walking.

  I will start today. 
  It is 1100 hours and I had a 6 inch tuna sandwich from Subway.  I am going to say it is 530 calories and 31g of fat.  I will see how I do today.

East Germany Was Bad!

  Remember how we would say that things were so bad in East Germany?  Now we know that we were correct.  It was bad in East Germany and they were bad bad boys.
  It has now cum come out that the East Germany army set up a barracks in Biesdorf (East Berlin) in order to make porn movies for army top brass as well as visiting dignitaries.
  Over 100 people were involved in the porn films.  Soldiers were measured to see if they were well-enough endowed for a starring role in the films.  The films were shot using 12mm cameras and the films were short and "shoddy."
  Filming often took place at garden parties, with officers and party officials checking the action out.  (I wonder if they had a do not ask do not tell policy in the East German army?)

  God, I wish I could write comedy.  Someone could take the above information and create so many funny jokes for late night television. 
  I could see a comedy movie about this subject. 
  Think of all the fun you could have with this subject for a movie.  I would make all the top ranking military officers gay.  You could have a lot of fun with part of the movie were they measure the soldiers.  You could have some music at the garden parties.
  If you were part of this project in East Germany I wonder what you tell your kids when they ask "Daddy what did you do during the war?"

Signing an email petition to stop rampant crime is slacktivism. Want to really make your community safer? Get off your ass and start a neighborhood watch!

Birthday Stuff

  The other day Makoto, a fan in Japan, put $100.00 into my PayPal account.  It is not the first donation he has made.  Last week Milford, in NC, ordered something for me and I should get it in a day or two.  (I will tell you and show you when I get it.)  Milford has made many donations over the years.
  Today Nicolas in CA made a $200.00 donation.  He did it by e-check and it will show up in my account in about 4 days.  This is not the first large donation from Nicolas.
  I want to thank all three of them very much.
