In the Land of Women (2007)

  I just watched "In the Land of Woman" on DVD.  It was very good.

  Director and writer Jon Kasdan did an excellent job with this movie.  He had an excellent cast including Meg Ryan. 

The Simpson's Movie (2007)

    I watched "The Simpsons Movie" (2007) last night.  I am a big fan of the TV show.  The movie was good but I was surprised to find that it was too long for me.  I think I am programmed to watch for 30 minutes.
     It was not like when the first "Star Trek" movie came out.  I remember sitting in the movie and I could not wait for each minute of the movie and after the movie was over I sat in my seat wishing it had been a longer movie.
     I rented the DVD of "The Simpsons Movie" and it was OK.  I am glad I did not go to a movie and pay for it in a theater however I suspect that with other people around laughing it might have been more fun.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A Clay County woman's family said it's seeking justice after their loved one died shortly after being shocked 10 times with Taser guns during a confrontation with police.

The family of 56-year-old Emily Delafield said it would take the Green Cove Springs Police Department to court, according to a WJXT-TV report.

In April 2006, officers with the police department said they were called to a disturbance at a home in the 400 block of Harrison Street just before 5 p.m.

Netflix offers unlimited online viewing?

  I am a Netflix customer and I have not received any email yet from them.  I think this would be a very smart move by Netflix.  I only get one DVD at a time.  I could see them offering free on line viewing to customers that get more than one DVD at a time.  I might upgrade my membership.

My Yahoo! beta

  I have a My Yahoo home page or start page or whatever the hell it is called.  I don't use it very often.  But it is pretty nice.  They now have a new page to re-place it and it is beta.  It looks excellent.
  I might start using their page.
  Right now my home page is an HTML page that I created and it is on my desk top and I start it and then it has all my links on it.  I could put those links on my Yahoo home page.  I might give it a try. 

  I have the weather for Miami FL (81/72), Washington DC (51/45), Dallas TX (52/32) and Kansas City high of 29 and low of 21 degrees.  God I love the weather down here.  Kansas City is where I am from..I miss my friends but I do not miss the weather.

How was Bhutto killed?

  I do not know about you..but I am FUCKING tired of hearing how Benzir Bhutto died.  First we heard that she was shot in the head.  Then we heard that she was killed by shrapnel and now we hear that she fell down in the car and hit her head.
  Fucking stop telling us anything until you know the facts.  I do not know if the fault is with the Pakistan government or if it is with the news people.

  I think she died of the flu or a cold myself.
  I wonder if the news people will be reporting now that Jim Howard on his blog "ShowMeBlog" is reporting that Bhutto was killed by the flu.
  For God's sake get the information correct.  Do not release information that is not correct.
  If they can not get the information about how she died correct...how can we believe anything that they report?

  I do not have CNN or Fox "news" now and I am fucking glad that I don't have it.. I can just bet that Fox "news" reported that she was shot in head and had on their "experts" talking about that for hours...where in the head she was shot..what type of gun was used..were the shooter would have been and on and on and on...
  Then they must have reported on the shrapnel and I bet they had an "expert" and he came with some "shrapnel" to show the viewers...
  God dam..fucking news people...

  I think I am sorry that satellites were invented and I am sorry that the Internet was invented and I am sorry the world wide web was invented.

  I am going to try something different here for 2008.  Please let me know how you like it.
First thing I want to mention is that at the top of ShowMeBlog from now on will be a video.  I mention that because you may come to the blog and think I have not updated the blog.  But all new postings to the blog will be under the embedded video.
  I am going to be doing a lot of video posts.  If this is a problem for some of you please let me know and I will see what I can do about it.

Bhutto and Pakistan

  I do think this is a great loss for Pakistan.  I, of course, don't know what type of person she was in the past and not sure how she would have done but still a great loss.  There was hope with her and it appears she had a lot of support in the nation.
  Now what is going to happen in Pakistan? 
  I have said it many times here...I think Pakistan is scary.  A Islamic state with nuclear weapons and with the instability there is scary to me. 
  I hope our leaders know what to say and what they need to do.
  I suspect that one thing we should not be seen as intervening in their internal affairs.  I heard some guy on TV saying that a international independent investigation needed to take place and that maybe the FBI could go in and do the investigation.  I do not think that is a good idea.

  I do not know much about Benazir Bhutto but there is one thing for sure...she was brave and had more guts than I got...  Her and her family sort of remind me of the Kennedy family.

  The stock market was down big time today.  I guess that was because of the Bhutto assassination. 
  This has not been a good year.
  Maybe 2008 will be a better year.
