Duck Season

  I did not get much done today.  I messed with the design of Show Me Magazine all day.  It is a mess.  I should delete it and start over again.

  I got three DVDs today.  One of them was "Duck Season."

  It was an interesting little movie.  It was in Spanish and it was not in color. 

  Ken ordered a pizza tonight.  So I am full of pizza and Coke.

  I sent off the $100.00 money order and a letter to the land lord. 

The Colonial Bank Sucks

  I have set up a web site about The Colonial Bank (Dadeland) and my problems with them.  I am going to try and find out who is over the manager of the Dadeland branch of the Colonial Bank and see if that person is willing to help me.
  Right now my $400.00 is being held and my bank will not credit it to my account until they get a FAX, on the Colonial Bank letter head, or until 30 days.  So I can not get access to my $400.00 until the 24th of this month (02/2007). 

  I do not have my part of the rent money for this month.  It is late now.  So I will have to pay an extra $55.00 fee at this point.   I am going to send them $100.00 at this time and a letter telling them that I will have to pay them late and they will get their money.  They are not going to be happy.

  I will be adding to the Colonial Bank Sucks web site.  I will be posting a video on the site and the same video I will post on YouTube.  I have not made the video yet.  I may do it later today.  It was my hope that I would not have to take these actions.

  When you post something like this on the Internet it has it's own life.  There is stuff that I posted many years ago that is still on the Internet and I could not edit or remove it now if I wanted to do it.

  There is no need for this.. all the Colonial Bank has to do is FAX a letter for me and correct a error that they made.  Their ATM messed up and did not correct the error they made.  If you been reading my blog you have seen that I was very nice about the entire thing.  I gave them time to correct it.  I talked to them in person.

  They are making a little work for me.  They are costing me, at least $55.00, money and time. 
  They are giving their own bank a black eye.  
  Also let me warn everyone do not use a Colonial Bank ATM.  This could happen to you.  
  Also if your looking for a friendly and helpful bank I would not recommend any Colonial Bank most of all not the Dadeland branch.

LiveClip.Com

I comment on and report on video and video sites at ShowMeCam.  But this new site may interest you. 
It is LiveClip.Com and it is different than YouTube and some of the others.  It is new.  They allow you to have a private password protected site.  Or you can have your public site and have password protected videos.
Now they say: 

"Note: If you upload Porn, your LiveClip.com account will be deleted."

But I wonder if that would apply to your private password protected videos.

I have not uploaded anything to my LiveClip site yet.  If you want to see what I am playing with and checking out you can visit that site.  I am wondering if maybe it could be a private site with some content that is not porn but content that should be password protected.

Russell got a Black Berry with is family plan with T-mobile.  I have his old phone.  I want to get a Theo 650 as soon as I can afford it.  Russell thinks I should get a Black Berry.

Russell did his income tax.  He only worked half a year for CompUSA.  He will be getting back a refund of close to $800.00 this year. 

Boston Bomb Scare

 
You heard about the Boston bomb scare?  I don't know if I should laugh or cry.  It is so very odd and strange.  You can read the CNN story here.  It seems like lots of people are mad at Turner Broadcasting. 
Two guys got arrested so far...  You just have to use common sense.  You have to wonder what was going on with the Boston police. 
I guess I will not cry ... I guess I will just laugh at everyone.

When I was working hospital security back before 911.  We got a new director of security.  He was a pretty smart guy and a nice guy.  He decided and I think he was wrong that security officers were not checking all areas of the hospital.  So he said, not sure if he ever did it, was going to put some fake bombs some place and see if the officers found the bomb.  I let him know that it was stupid and if he put any out and I found it I would treat it as a real bomb and he would be in fucking big trouble with the police department.  I worked alone at a small hospital not the big one.  I  never heard any more about the fake bombs.

Right after I quit working at one hospital back about 1975 they got a new director of security.  I would check in with my fellow officers from time to time.  Right after the new director took over, he had been working retail security, he decided to pull a fire alarm.  So he just went and pulled the pull box on the wall without calling the fire department first.  So of course.. the fire department dispatched fire trucks to the hospital.  Well I did not think he could be any dumber that that...but a week or so later he wanted to show employees how to use a fire extinguisher.  So he took a old Christmas tree into the hospital into a meeting room filled with employees and we are talking ground floor of a six floor hospital and started to set it on fire.  The security officers there started telling him no that he could not do that and he was going to go ahead and do it.  A security officer had to go and get a member of administration to come and order him not to set the tree on fire.

So there are a lot of dumb people out in the world.   By the way that guy was director of security at that hospital for many years.

Florida Lotto

  You have to pick six numbers to win the FL Lotto.  I had one ticket for tonight.  My numbers were:  04-27-28-30-50-52 and the winning number was:
                                02-03-06-07-27-45 and as you can see I did not even get one number to match. That shows how hard it is to win.  No one won the jack pot today and now the jackpot is $25 million.  Now I could do a lot of good with $25 million.

  I took my last Avodart tonight.  So I have to get the Rx filled tomorrow.  I think that one cost me $60.00 if I remember correct.

  I am watching Countdown with Keith Olbermann and he is going to discuss Harry Potter nude after the break.  I am not going to watch but I think his comment is going to be how do you explain to your 12 year old that Harry Potter is nude.

I posted the following on July 28th of 2006.  I am posting it again because I saw a news item about it on TV today and I noticed I got a few hits from seach sites looking for Harry Potter Nude.

"Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter in the movies, is going to appear nude in a play expected to open in March of 2007.  I do not have a problem with nudity.  I think it is normal and think that other people are messed up, in their mind, because they make such a big deal out of it.
  But I do think it odd that the star of Harry Potter is going to be nude so soon.  I would guess that Harry Potter has a lot of pre-teen girls that think he is "cute."  Then bang all of a sudden this young boy they got a crush on is appearing nude.  Of course it is not in a movie it is in a play in London."

The only thing I would add is I wonder how long it will take for video of him nude to appear on YouTube. 

"Colonial Bank is not a merchant"

  The Colonial Bank did not FAX to my bank on their letter head.  My bank will not release my $402.50 which they are holding in "authorization pending"  unless they get a FAX on their letter head.
  I went over today and talked to the same lady at the bank.

She said that her manager told her that they would not FAX on their letter head because they are not a "merchant." 
I told her when you get time do a search on Google for "Colonial Bank + Dadeland" and I said you will see that I have posted information about your bank and I do not think it is the sort of information you would want posted about your bank.

I called my bank and told them that Colonial Bank will not FAX on their letter head because they say they are not a "merchant."  My bank said well we will just have to hold your money in authorization pending for 30 days.  I told the woman that I was on Social Security and I get about 800.00 a month to live on and my rent was due tomorrow. She said sorry our policy is that we hold it for 30 days.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and they put a supervisor on and she said the same thing.

  I called my bank and they did receive the FAX from Colonial Bank.  However all Colonial Bank did was FAX them the print out that I gave Colonial Bank on to get the pending authorization removed.  They did not give a brief statement, they did not FAX on their letter head and they did not give their phone number and an a signature.
  I had a feeling that what they did.  I just sent an email to the lady at Colonial Bank telling her what they needed to do and begging her to please FAX them what they need.  I told her that was my rent money and I needed to pay my rent no later than tomorrow.

  Let me make it clear my bank is not free from blame in this...  The Colonial Bank ATM did mess up as I reported before.  The first problem was with the Colonial Bank ATM.  Then, I think, an additional problem with the Colonial Bank ATM that it did not send some sort of data to my bank saying ..error..this event did not complete.   
  But then after 76 hours my bank should have gone ahead and put the funds back into my account.  But for some reason my bank will not do it.  (I think because it is over $100.00 they want a written authorization from Colonial.)

  I am between a rock and a hard place.  I have to depend on two banks to do the right thing.. my bank acts like they will take care of things right away as soon as they get the correct FAX.  If they did not get a FAX I wonder how long would they just hold my $400.00 in limbo?

  This is hurting me.  It is not helping the Colonial Bank.  If people do a search for Colonial Bank using Google they find my site talking about the bank before they find the bank listing on Google.  If I were the CEO of Colonial Bank I would not be a happy puppy. I am not sure how much they spend on advertising but I think a bad ATM just sunk their spending.
  If I were the CEO I would make sure that Mr. Howard got the FAX he needed and right now. 

Pirillo on Vista

  I am praying that today my bank will accept the FAX they got from the Colonial Bank.  I am praying they credit that $400.00 to my account so I can pay the rent.  I just don't have any faith that the one bank sent the FAX with the correct information and I don't have faith that my bank will use their head and accept the FAX.  My bank should see that they have held my $400.00 since the 24th.
  If I don't get the rent posted marked no later than tomorrow three things are going to happen.  One the land lord is going to add on all sort of fees.  Two the land lord's wife is going to go fucking nuts and call and yell and scream.  Three Ken is going to be all upset and mad at me and blame me.

  As I said before reason number 2 is the big one for me.  I was not aware of number 3 that would be nice.  The fact that they got a 64 bit version would be a big plus for me.
  I still think I will go for Linux.  To go with Windows Vista I would have to spend about $199.00 for the software and  I would need to buy a new video card (about $150.00). 

  An update on some things that have been talked about here.  Milford (NC) had his operation and was off work for a long time.  He then went back to work part time and has now gone back to full time.  Milford has been working for the same hospital for 40 years!  He will be 62 years of age in a few days.
  Dick (KC) did a hell of a job of setting up a Joomla! site.  It is for his old work buddies and the site, after 30 days, is getting almost no traffic and his fellow workers are not supporting the site with messages and information.
  Hillary (my daughter in TX) is married.  I am not sure I posted the information here.
  Darlene's boy friend has some sort of inter ear problem and had to go to the ER.  Darlene has been taking care of him.
  Ken is happy with his job.  Everyone is very nice.   He is making close to $60K a year now.  He says that he is going to turn down the FAA job offer.  Ken almost has all his school loans paid off.  He has been paying on them big time.  Ken has been investing in the stock market.  He is wanting another big boat, like he had before, but I told him that I did not think I could help carry it now.  He said he could get some wheels for it.  The wheels, to move it, cost $200.00 or $300.00 and I hate to see him spent that just for wheels but I think trying to move a boat like that now would put me in the ER or in a grave.
Maybe wheels are a good idea.
