"At the end of September about 43 percent of the contiguous United States was in moderate to extreme drought, the National Climate Data Center said Tuesday.
Worldwide, meanwhile, the agency said the year to date has been the warmest on record for land. It has been the seventh warmest year so far over the oceans, working out to the fourth warmest overall worldwide..." CNN
It looks like worldwide warming is here. Maybe Al Gore should have run for President this time. Smile
"CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- More than 90,000 Americans get potentially deadly infections each year from a drug-resistant staph "superbug," the government reported Tuesday in its first overall estimate of invasive disease caused by the germ..." CNN
The above is one reason that you should stay out of hospitals. Yes if you must go to the hospital then you need to go ...but some people pop into the hospital to have things done they don't need done. There should be warning signs when you drive up to a hospital warning you that your in danger by going into the area. People that work in hospitals know about all the bad infections in the hospital. Of course in other places like nursing homes and places like that..
In the old days children were not allowed to go up and see patients except maybe for Christmas day or Mothers day or something like that.. also visitor access was limited. But things have changed and now you all go to see your friends at the hospital and you bring your kids. You bring your baby and let him or her play on the floor of the hospital. I bet your worrying about that toy from China but you have other things you need to worry about.
If you read the CNN story on the deadly super infections you will see that one of the things we need to do is cut back on the use of antibiotics. It is not going to happen. You get a virus and you go to the doctor for antibiotics right. Antibiotics do not work on a virus. But your doctor is not going to even try and tell you that.. I don't think.. because you will change doctors if you go and don't get an antibiotic from him.
I am not sure what the answer to the problem is.. we got too many laws now.. I can't see them passing a law to force a cut back on antibiotics. Your doctor would just say you had something else... Or people would pop up and supply the antibiotics.
