Dexter

  I watched two of the shows from the first season of "Dexter" on DVD today.  It was different that is for sure.  After seeing two shows that was enough for me.  I have no desire to see any more shows.
   I think shows like this are trash.  It is too bad they even put this sort of stuff on TV or into movies.
   There will be a few sick people that will see Dexter as a hero.  They will think what he is doing is wonderful and they would like to do it.  There will be a few others out there in TV land that want to murder someone and they are going to study the show to see how best they can do the crime and get away with it.
   Someone will pay a heavy price for a stupid TV show.

PANAMA CITY, Florida (AP) -- Seven former boot camp guards and a nurse were acquitted Friday of manslaughter in the death of a 14-year-old boy who was hit and kicked by the drill instructors in a videotaped altercation.
   What a shame.  What a crime.  The all-white jury took 90 minutes to find the guards and "nurse" not guilty.  I can understand the jury not wanting to subject them to 30 years in jail but they had the power to find them guilty of a lesser charge like child neglect.
   I live in FL and when I first saw the video I knew they had killed the boy.  Then they got the medical examiner to lie and come up with a death from natural causes.  I knew that was a lie.
   Later they come up with a real autopsy showing that the guards suffocated the kid. 
   They had some first class stupid guards with stupid supervision and rules.  Thank God the state has done away with those sort of camps now in FL.
   I do not understand why justice could not have been done now in this case.
   I feel sorry for the poor mother but most of all I feel sorry for the 14 year old boy.
   The mother's lawer said outside of the courtroom "You kill a dog, you go to jail.  You kill a little black boy and nothing happens."  God help us all he is right.

   Of course, I am sure, there will now be a civil trial and I expect the mother will win the case.  It is a shame that it is only in civil court that often justice can be done.
   I watched part of the criminal case on Court TV.  I wish now I had watched all of the case on court TV.

Hot Fuzz

  I watched "Hot Fuzz" on DVD.  Ken rented it.  I would never have rented it.  It was excellent however.  Very funny and interesting.

Top London cop, PC Nicholas Angel (Pegg) is good. Too good. And to stop the rest of his team looking bad, he is reassigned to the quiet town of Sandford. He is paired with Danny Butterman (Frost), who countlessly questions him on the action lifestyle. Everything seems quiet for Angel, until two actors are found decapitated. It is address to as an accident, but Angel isn't going to accept that, especially when more and more people turn up dead. Angel and Danny clash with everyone, whilst trying to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the apparent "acidents". Written by Film_Fan

  The movie has a surprise ending AND IT IS VRY GOOD. 

 

This is a nude beach right?

  Tomorrow I have to wake both Russell and Ken at the same time.  That is 0430.  I should go to bed when they both get up.

  The gate over the canal they are going to leave open until Friday morning.  I bet they are getting all sorts of people yelling and screaming at them.  I walked over to the mall and got some bar-b-q.  Not as good as KC bar-b-q. 

  I found a web site called:  What the Nation Thinks.  They have polls on line.  You can even submit your own if you wish.
  One poll is:  Bush Approve or Aisapprove?  it is 36% approve and 63% disapprove.
  I think this site is in the UK by the way.. so not sure that poll matters very much.

  I found a site with something funny on it.  It is WTF Zup dot Com and it is 6 kinds of Music Not to Play for your Cat.  It is pretty funny.

Not here, Naked Stock Photography Guy! This isn't Nakedland!

A Florida man accused of exposing himself says that he was only naked because he thought he was on a nude beach, despite the fact that nobody else on the beach was naked.

The unidentified 41-year-old, from the city of Gulf Breeze in the State of Hyperfreakiness, was witnessed by a man and his 12-year-old son, who were passing by.

They say the saw the naked man talking on his mobile phone and standing beside a blue and pink umbrella. The police report states that they were 'exposed to the suspect's rear end and genitals,' and that furthermore he made no 'attempt to hide or cover himself from their view.'

When a policeman approached the naked guy, according to the report, he hurriedly wrapped himself in a towel. He then told the sheriff's deputy that he believed the beach was a nudist beach, the Northwest Florida Daily News reports.

'I asked the suspect if he thought this was a nude beach why does everyone he see have clothes on and why he wrapped a towel around himself to cover up when I approached,' wrote the deputy, pertinently.

The man is expected to face charges of indecent exposure."

Kendall Dadeland Gate from Hell

  It took Russell an extra 20 minutes to walk to work today and an extra 20 minutes to walk home.  That is because the Village at Dadeland Codominium people have installed a gate over the canal.



   I did not walk over to the Dadeland Mall food court so they lost out on money.  It may have been good for my billfold and my weight however.
   For many years people have used this path to cross over the canal but the company now has installed a gate and you have to have a key.
   We are moving in 10 days so we are not getting keys.  Each key cost $50.00 and if they have not done a back ground check on you have to pay $100.00 for each person (key or not). 

 
 

GodTube

  I heard on Fox "news" today about a new site called Godtube.  It is a site for Jesus freaks.  I will not be uploading videos to that site.  Smile



  I guess if we had been smart we would have got all the domain names for xxxxtube.com because it looks like they are going to be popular.

  "Little People, Big World" is on TV right now.  I think the first show of the new season starts tonight or tomorrow night.  I have not seen the show in months. 

  This is the second month of my membership in Netflix.  The first month I did not know what the rules were about the live viewing.  I can watch 9 hours a month.  One thing I found out and that is when you start to view a movie if you stop the time for the entire movie counts.  I started to watch a couple of movies and after 5 or 10 minutes I could see the movie was no good for me but they count it just like I watched the three or four hours of moves.  So this month I am going to make sure if I pick a movie to watch live that it is something I am going to want to see and that I am going to watch all of it.

  Well the place we live in is now locking the gate.  We don't have a key to gate.  We will be moving in a couple of weeks ..but..now for Russ to get to his job he has to walk about an extra 8 blocks.  For me to get to the mall food court or the CVS store it is now about 10 blocks and before it was about two blocks.  I have seen the gate yet. Well I have seen the gate but not locked.  I should go over and stand there with my camera and do some videos ..there are going to be a lot of pissed off people.  There are blind people, lots of old people that use that gate.  Many of them do not live in this complex but cut through here to get to the store and mall and other places.

New Poisonous Spider in the United States!

  I am glad that I have friends that care about me. I from time to time get an email from them warning me about something because they care about me.  I think 99.9% of the time it is  a "Urban Legend."
  I sort of hate to reply back to the friend because I know took the time and they were thinking of me...  But I always do reply back.. ego on my part?  I don't want them to worry or be passing the dire warnings all around the world.

  I just got one warning me of a new poisonous spider in North Florida.  The warning was about the Two-Striped Telamonia.  It is fake of course.. after you see a few of these type of stories you get where you can smell them out pretty fast..
  One thing..  don't believe anything you get from someone you do not know.. don't believe any email you get.. Also these fake stories all have a little too much detail.  They also always warn you to "pass" on the warning to others via email.

  If I were God I would fix it were the people that create and release crap like this could never use a computer again.  I am not talking about the people that don't know any better and pass it on.
  Or maybe if I were God, in this case, I would make the person spend the rest of their life lifting toilet seats.

  There are a lot of things we need to worry about but we do not need to worry about the Two-Striped Telamonia.

Blogger's Choice Award

  Remember me commenting on the Blogger's Choice Award? 
Well keep in mind that I maybe the inventor of blogging.  I have been doing it since 1982.  Well people have set up an awards event.   I voted for my blog months and months ago.  They will be having the big event in Las Vegas and giving out the awards.
   This site got three votes so far and two of them are votes from me!  The other vote was from someone that voted this the worst blog.

    I think I have said before I get no respect... smile..
    
    Howard's Notebook is starting to take shape.  I think here in a few more day it might be worth you checking out.  It still needs a lot of work. 
My idea has always been that I would collect information and have it in one place for those of you looking for it.  This blog works great for what blogs do.. but they don't work well for having information on hand for you. 
   

Deputy Kills Six People

    The big news for a few days will be the "20 year old" deputy sheriff that shot and killed his girl friend and five of her friends.  See the CNN story. 
    I know we have troops in the military at 20 and younger than that age but I do not think that a 20 year old should be allowed to be a police officer. 
    I also would be willing to bet that this kid did not have the training that she should have received and I bet he did not have the correct screening before he was signed on as a police officer.
   Also another thing it could be ...when I went to the police academy you could only attend the police academy if you were hired by a police department and you were going to be working for them.  Years later the academy changed it so that anyone could sign up and attend the police academy.  I saw guys then that could not get hired by a police department go to the academy and come out and then a police department would hire them because they had gone to the academy.  It saved the city money.
  I think we are going to find that this shooting is going to be a royal fuck up.  If the department cut corners and showed this kid how to kill people and then gave him the weapons to do it.. well.. it will not bring back the six dead.. but what a fucking mess...
  Of course anyone can go nuts..  I bet there were warning signs.
 

I am an alarm clock

  Russell has been working a lot of days and long hours.  I did not go to bed last night because I had to wake him at 0300 hours and I got to wake Ken at 0530 hours.  Ken has been working extra hours the last few days. 
  Ken and Russell are hard to get awake.  I am not sure how they would make it with out the human alarm clock (me).
  When I was their age the first ring of the alarm clock and I was flying out of bed.

   I been messing with my Howard's Notebook site for almost 24 hours with almost no sleep.  I started all over from the beginning on it.  I had been working on it for a week or more and I just did not like the way it was looking.  So I am messing with it again.
  
   I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Fireworks CS3.  It was a major download.  Plus the tossed in a lot of extra junk.  I hate that company.  Their programs are massive hogs.  We all made a big mistake in letting these corporations gets by the balls.  We let them sell up programs that need more and more memory, hard drive space, CPU and even new video cards.  Buying a video card should be almost something you only do one or two times in your life.  Not something you do each couple of years.
   There were great programs that ran on 65K of memory in the old days.  I am talking word processing and other stuff.  
   But we let them sell us on the idea that we always have to be buying more memory and faster chips and everything else..  We are getting fucked.
