Marcia Brady had lesbian fling with sister Jan

"Wholesome former "The Brady Bunch" star Maureen McCormick is set to reveal the beloved '70s TV series' most shocking secret in a new book -- she and her on-screen sister had a lesbian fling.

McCormick's tell-all, "Here's The Story," won't hit bookstores until 2008, but publishers are already buzzing about the big reveal.

As well as talking candidly about her well-documented eating disorder and drug problems in the book, TV's Marcia Brady will come clean about a romance she had with co-star Eve Plumb, who played her sister Jan on the hit show.

A source tells the National Enquirer, "The most explosive comments will be how the then-blonde, blue-eyed cutie developed a crush on Eve Plumb, which led to some sexual play.

"This book will certainly come as a shocker. While Maureen is not a lesbian, she reveals there were some sexual hijinks going on behind the scenes.

"It's bizarre because she played such a virginal character on the show."

  I guess I am going to start getting "The Brady Bunch" on DVD and watching the show over again.  I may have to get the book if she gives details.  Smile
   I don't think I can ever watch The Brady Bunch and not think about this story.

Google Stock at a new high

  I am not good with money.  I never have  been good with money.  One reason is that it was never important to me.  Now that I am on SS money matters to me and it is too late.
  Very few people had heard about the Internet or had an idea of what a domain name was..and I told people here in the blog to buy and hold domain names as an inventment.
  I did not listen to my own advice however and I sold hnb.com for $500.00 and I do not want to think about how much it is worth now.  I did later sell howard.net for $10K. 
  I wanted to buy stock in Palm before many people had heard about them but I did not have the money.  I wanted to buy Google stock when it first came out.  I did not have the money for that.  Google stock just hit a new high.  The stock just hit $560.79 for one share. 
  If your a young person reading this..take my advice now.. learn how to manage and handle your money.  Invest in an IRA or the stock market for the long term. 

  Well I guess you heard the news...remember what I said here a few days ago...Blackwater is backing doing convoys and security functions in Iraq.  A top aid to the Prime Minister is reported to have said it would be difficult for the Iraqi government to expel Blackwater.
  I wonder how much money we paid as a bribe and I wonder what deals were made.

  We signed the lease and paid the money and we move into the new condo in about one month.  Just at a time when I want to get on a diet and stay on a diet we are going to be moving three blocks from lots of fast food places.

  

Billy Elliot

  I just watched "Billy Elliot" on DVD. 
"Set against the background of the 1984 Miner's Strike, Billy Elliot is an 11 year old boy who stumbles out of the boxing ring and onto the ballet floor. He faces many trials and triumphs as he strives to conquer his family's set ways, inner conflict, and standing on his toes!" 
  It was an OK movie.  I was expecting a comedy.  I get a bit tired of movies about UK labor problems and about miners.  The film did get three nominations for an Academy Awards.
 
 

  

Working Again with WordPress

  Today you may see me in front of my computer all day and all night.  (Unless Ken needs to use my computer to look up boats.  He is interested in buying a boat.)
  Today I am going to be working on a new WordPress install, it may take the place of Howard's Notebook, I think this one may work out for me.

The Arrest of the Student and After the Arrest

  Here is more video of the arrest of the student.  This from a different camera and angle. 
After they remove him from the meeting hall you see and hear more of this jerk.  I think it was all an act.
  But if he was not acting then he needs to get some mental help.  He says things like;  "...You can't kill me people know I am here..they are going to try and kill me.."  After the student at VA Tech maybe they to kick his ass out of school until he gets treatment.
  I am not sure at what point they decided he was under arrest.  My feeling is that they were just escorting him out until at some point it all changed.. But if you see him jerking away and waving his arms around he needed a good blast from the Taser to get his attention.

You may have seen this already but this is the first time I saw the entire event.  In this video you see him and hear him asking his questions.  Well they were not questions they were statements...but you see the entire event.
  I think he went to the event and wanted to have something like this take place.  In fact I think he wanted them to Taser him. 

  But they should not have used the Taser on him.

  I think the kid is an ass hole and thinks he is smart.  This will not be the last time he is in trouble and He is going to have a long hard life unless he sees the light.  Not the light from the Taser.  Smile

Who Invented the Blog?

The Question is "Who Invented the Blog?"
  Let me say first that I been doing a blog since June of 1982.  Of course it was not called a "blog" because someone invented the name about 1995.
  Now maybe someone was doing a blog before June of 1982.  If so they may have invented blogging.  But anyone that says they were doing a blog later than 1982 is not the inventor and father of blogging.

Dig straight down to China

  When I was a kid we would always say something about digging down and we would come out in China.

Countless children (and adults) have wondered where they would end up if they started digging straight down (ignoring the material and methods). Now we have the answer! Most of the planet is covered in water, so most diggers will dig into some ocean or another. What little land there is is generally not opposite other land. Some of South America and Asia, for instance, are opposite each other, but most Americans will swim in the Indian Ocean.

If I were to dig from Miami FL here is where I would end up.

OK when I was a kid I was in Kansas City, MO.  But I would still end up in the Indian Ocean.  Smile

Jena Six

  I never heard of the Jena Six until the other day.  Here is some information on the Jena Six matter from Wikipedia.

"Jena Six refers to a group of six African American teenagers who have been arrested and charged with crimes related to their alleged involvement in the assault of a white teenager in Jena, Louisiana, on December 4, 2006. The incident is one of many racially charged events that have occurred in the town since what has been called a prank involving the "white tree" on the Jena High School campus. Critics of the case, including civil rights leaders Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, have claimed that the arrests and subsequent charges were racially motivated..."

  I do not know what the truth of this matter is ...but I do know that Al Sharpton is the number one racist here in the United States. 

  From reading the Wikipedia account of the entire Jena Six matter it looks to me like when the school burned down it was too bad the principal and DA were not in the school.  Just kidding..or am I?  
  What they needed in that town was for that school to be a Catholic school.  The students would not be in fear of each other they would be in fear of the teachers.  (I attended a all male Catholic high school run by Christian Brothers.)
