  Ken made it too SC.  He should get to Washington DC about1600 hours today and will spent the night with LaDawna and Aaron.  Then he will get into his apartment on Sunday.  He will be in VA doing training on a new computer system for six weeks.

  I am thinking about doing something different with ShowMeCam.  When I sleep and some other times I aim the camera out the window.  I am going to create a number of short videos with audio and put them in a play list.  Then when I am not in front of the camera I will start the play list of videos for viewers.
  That way there will always be streaming video with audio.  
  If you have a camera and mike and want to take part..it would be neat...Create a short video.  I think something like..you in front of the camera...say your name and were your located and then something to the effect that you read ShowMeBlog or are a fan or you been watching ShowMeCam for x number of years etc.  I will put some of these videos in the play list.  I think it would be nice to see and hear some of you.

Tape in teen sex case

"ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- A federal prosecutor wants a Georgia district attorney to stop giving out copies of a videotape used as evidence in a teenage sex case that has drawn national attention..."

You can read the story yourself but what I find stupid is the statement:

"...Douglas County District Attorney David McDade has estimated he has given the tape to about three dozen people -- including reporters, lawmakers and members of the public -- after receiving open records requests, according to The Associated Press. He told the AP Georgia's open records law requires him to do so..."

I would be willing to bet this District Attorney does not follow laws in all matters.  It suits him now to do it.  And how dumb can you be and still be a DA?  I guess he should "follow the law" and give out the tape and then arrest the person he just gave it too for having child porn.  Give me a fucking break.

Sweep your Computer

  I did a complete scan of my computer.  It was a virus and a spyware scan.  It took 2 hours and 30 minutes.  It found about 66 "Spy Cookies".  Many if not all were safe and were cookies to make it more easy and faster for me to surf the Internet.
  The scan also found a virus:  Exp/Animoo-A
 

"Exp/Animoo-A is an exploit of the Microsoft vulnerability patched by MS05-002 that targets animated cursor (.ANI) files. This exploit has been used by the Troj/Animoo family of Trojans. High Prices for metals

  Fortune magazine had a report on metal madness.  CNN Money has the story.  They tell you the metals to steal, the price you will get for it and where you find it.
  Aluminum - 80 cents a pound - home siding
  Iron - $15.00 to $30.00 - manhole cover
  Stainless steel - $50.00 to $60.00 - beer keg
  Copper - $100.00 to $200.00 - outdoor central-air unit
  Last you can get platinum, palladium and rhodium worth $150.00 from a SUV catalytic converter.
  On the one hand you think they should not tell people this information and on the other hand you know that all the bad guys already know about it. 
  From my days as a police officer, and security officer, I can tell you that the bad guys steal from construction sites all the time.  I think often it is an inside job.  I don't know how many times I had to take a report on something being stolen from a building site.  They would get the items at the end of one day and the next morning when the workers came the items would be gone.
  In the news recently have been reports of people being killed stealing things like copper.  One guy was stealing copper wire and it was high voltage and still hot.  He is now cold.

KGO 810 AM News Talk Radio

  Anthony Jordan sent me a link for KGO News Talk radio.  Anthony thinks I might like the Ray Taliaferro show and it is on from 0100 to 0500 Pacific time.
  KGO is in San Francisco (CA) so my bet is that they are not going to be saying much good about Bush.  (Smile)
  I am listening to Bernie Ward right now on KGO.  He is no fan of President Bush.  Of course Bush has very few fans right now.

Cheap Apartment

  Terry Evans sent me a link to a cheap apartment in Okeechobee FL (ZIP 34972). 

 
  It is listed as $563.00 a month.  They also only want a deposit of $100.00 for it. 
The price sounds good.  Of course I am committed to live with Ken and Russell as long as they need me to help out with costs.  But the place does look interesting.  I looked at the map and did not see any MLK streets near it.  (Smile)  It does say it is an active adult community.  Hell I want to live in a nudist community.  (Smile)
  One thing you will find is that apartment listings on the Internet yo can never get for the price listed.  It is always more money.  If your looking to rent a house the price you see will be the price you can get it for but not apartments.
  The location of this apartment might be good for a lot of people.  I want to live in the Miami area however.  This is fun town and you all know I am a party animal.  (Smile)
  Okeechobee Lake is the main back up water supply for this area of FL.  It is at the lowest recorded level of all time. 
  Thanks Terry for sending the listing.  It is a good price for FL. 
  I am going to keep going half with Ken on an apartment until he gets married or something.  

1141 Visitors to ShowMeBlog Today

  We had 1141 visitors to ShowMeBlog today.  It looks like we have now moved into the 1000 range here at ShowMeBlog.  I am not sure why you come and read the blog but I do thank you.  We, of course, have more readers than that each day.  Some of you get the blog by email and some via an RSS reader. 

  I moved the big TV back into my room today.  So if you see me looking off in the distance I maybe watching TV.  I moved the bed to make room for the TV. 

  I may get the new webcam tomorrow.  I do not think it is going to be any better than the one I am using now.  It will have 6 LEDs on it.  I think they will light up the room when it is dark.  

Titusville FL

  I have been to Titusville FL  a few times.  I like the town.  I been checking out Titusville on Rent.Com. 

  They have a listing for Merritt Island FL 32952) and they have studios listed at $680 to $695 of course I am not sure if they have any open.  A one bed room runs $770 to $900 a month.

  I would love to live there but Russell and Ken would be in Miami and I am not sure when or if I would ever see them.

Rent.Com

  Studio
  Russell was looking on the Internet for a studio to rent in this area.  You have to pay around $700.00 just for a studio.  You can not find many for that price.  If you search for a one bed room apartment and you enter $800.00 you can find some.
  I did some searching using Rent.Com for studios and one bedroom apartments.  I do not see how people make it in Miami.  The pay scale is low and the rents are high.

  Right now we live in a condo.  These were apartments when we moved in three years ago.  About two years ago they went condo.  When they were apartments they were all rented out all the time.  When they went condo my guess is that about 20% are vacant now and have signs up looking for renters or buyers.
  We live in a two bed room and the selling price for it was $200K.  The guy that got this let us keep living in it and paying the same rent we paid when it was an apartment.  That was $900.00 a month.  Well last month he moved our rent up to $1200.00 a month.

 Health
  I lost about 5 pounds.  I see my normal doctor on the 19th.  I have not made an appointment with a heart doctor yet.  My chest pain is not as bad today.  In fact I took out two bags of trash today and had no increase in chest pain. 
  I just took my BP and it is 151/81 with a pulse of 60.  This is about two hours after I took my BP medication.  That is high.  My BP with the medication I am taking should not be over 140.  I guess I will have something to tell my doctor.

Thursday
  Ken has Thursday off.  He will be getting ready for his trip to VA.  He will leave very early on Friday.  It is about a 1000 mile trip and he is driving it.  It will take him about 16 hours to drive it.  His company is putting him up in a very fancy apartment like place.  He can not get into it until Sunday and so he will stay at LaDawna's place until he can check into the place he is going to stay.
