Thank You Tropical Storm Barry

The rain we were getting here, I guess, was from Tropical Storm Barry.  We need all the rain we can get here. 
Lake Okeechobee, the secondary water supply for this area, is at the lowest recorded level.  Very strange here in Florida we have water all around us but not a drop to drink.  It is salt water. 

I guess you heard about Google acquiring Feedburner.  It is so odd.  Over the years I have signed up for services and sites and one by one Yahoo or Google or someone will take them over.  It is like they follow me around.

I need a laptop bag.  I found myself on CNN Money site and they showed three bags.  The first was a aluminum case for $150 and that is over my head plus I do not want to carry an aluminum case.  The next one was a
good looking bag and sort of simple and plain and I am thinking that is the bag for me.  Then I see $595.00 as the price.  That is the price of a laptop.  The last bag with out extras is $120.00 and I guess that could be in my price range if I give up eating for one month.

They also had the best of digital cameras.  The three they pick are; Canon PowerShot SD900, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50 and a Nikon D80.  The price of the last one is $1300.00 of course.

I will have to wait to win a lottery before I can afford one of those.

al Qaeda wannabes

I am sure you have seen on the news about the "terror plot" at JFK.  Four men have been charged with conspiring to attack John F. Kennedy International Airport.  Even Homeland Security says they are "al Qaeda wannabes" with a plan that was "not technically feasible." 
I am not real sure what to think about these arrests that are being made here.  Like the black gang here in Miami that wanted to try and get weapons and guns. 
Is Bush and Homeland Security using these arrest to scare the American people?  Is Bush using this sort of thing so that we will standby and allow him to rip up our Bill of Rights? 

I just wonder if we have FBI agents that did work in other fields and now they are out looking for al Qaeda and they have to show something for the time and money and they come up with these wannables. 
I also fear that they have paid people helping the wannables and pushing them to do such and such in order for them to arrest them.
If that is the case then you see the problem.  The real bad guys, like they seem to have in the UK, are not having attention paid to them. 

I am not sure what we can do.  We have the Bush people still in power and in control and we can not trust them and we can not believe them. 

I can not believe, after Bush, that the American people would vote any Republican for President of the United States.  It will depend, I think, however on who each part runs. 
What the American people do not seem to understand is that when you put in a Republican as President you get the gang.  You get all the crooks and nuts come with him.  Even if the Republicans were to run Jesus Christ or Lincoln now you would get the scum from the party.

We need a change to our system and not just on the GOP side.  We need a change to the way our system works.

We have three branches of government.  There is the Executive (President), Legislative (Congress) and Judicial (Courts). 
The Judicial should never be political.  We some how need to change it so that that politics never enter into the Judicial branch.  I am not sure how we can do it.  It may take a long time to make the changes but we need to start.

One thing we need to change in the Executive is that the Attorney General and the entire department should not be political.  I am not sure how we can change it.  One thing might for each President to appoint someone from the other party as Attorney General.  But that person would have to be someone very honest and someone going to do the right thing no matter what.  I hope we still have men like that in the nation but I am starting to wonder.

One other big thing is money and congress. The fund raising is out of control and we need to do something.  I am not sure if we need public funding or if something else is needed.  But it is a big problem.

Spam and junk

I have started to use Windows Live Writer to post to ShowMeBlog.  It looks like an excellent program.  I had to install Net Frame or what ever in the hell that is from Microsoft to get it to work. 
I have been using BlogJet to post here.  You can use it for 30 days and then you have to pay for that program.  It is a very good program.

Today we are getting rain and sun.  It will rain hard  and then the sun will come out and then it will start over again.  Like I said before FL needs all the rain it can get.  If we do not get more rain visitors to FL may have to bring their own water.

One thing I like is that they take PayPal for payment.

Jack Kevorkian - "Doctor Death"

Jack Kevorkian ("Doctor Death") got out of prison yesterday June 1st 2007 after he served 8 years of his 10-25 year sentence for murder.
He is a hero to many people.  I reported in my blog a long time ago that I saw a TV interview of Doctor Kevorkian and that he was a total mental and needed to be locked up.  That was before he started to make the major news that he did for a time. 
I am just an old retired night watchman and I saw that interview and knew that he needed treatment and needed to be locked up for the safety of everyone. 
After a hundred "terminally ill" people died at his hands he ended up being put on trial for murder and was sentenced to 10-25 years.
He is out now. I heard on TV that he is going to be on CNN (Larry King show) on Monday.  I will not watch the interview. 
Do you want to see pure evil?  If you do watch the Larry King show on CNN on Monday.  Look into those eyes.  Look into those eyes.  If you want to see what a cold heart less killer looks like then just take a look at the face of Kevorkian. 

The problem with many people is they believe in some cause and anyone that supports that cause they make a hero and they support the person. 
Kevorkian is no hero.  He has his own sick desires and drives.  We can not understand his mind.  I do not think any of use want to look into the eyes of someone we are killing and watch and study their eyes as they die.

News reports are that Kevorkian has less than a year to live.  Unless he kills himself I expect him to live longer than one year.  He is evil.  The good die young.  His type live a long time. 
I do not believe in hell.  If there is a hell one day Kevorkian will be there and he can look into the eyes of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, Stalin, Vlad Tepel, Pol Pot, Mao Tse-tung, Idi Amin, H. H. Holmes, Gilles de Rais and a great many Republicans.  (OK OK the "Republicans" is a joke right?)

Rain all day today

This is the first time, in a long time, that I can remember it raining all day down here.  We need the water here. 


I went to bed about 10 PM last night.  I was tired.  I am not sure why I was so tired.  I woke up about 2 am and I am still up.  Ken is working a midnight shift.

I found out that Russell got a promotion the other day.  He did not say a word to me about it.  He is now in charge of the ware house and dock.  That makes him management and he must supervise about 20 people directly.  If I were still working there he would be my supervisor.  It is a hard job.  There is a lot of paper work (computer work) and it depends on a number of people all doing their job correct. 

Russell like working there and likes the people he is working with each day.  If we have to move to Homestead it would make it much harder for Russell to get to work.  Right now he walks about three blocks to work.

Rain Rain

Ken and I were out today in the rain.  We been getting rain all day today.  This area needs the rain very bad.  We need all the rain we can get. 
Ken paid for my lunch at a Chinese buffet restaurant.  I love buffet restaurants. 
Ken got some running boards put on his Jeep today.
Ken will be leaving for VA in just over one week.  Time is flying.

The photo above was taken with my Palm phone.  I have to hold the phone out and take the photo so they all sort of look the same.  The expression on my face is from trying to tell if I have the camera aimed at me.

33% Rent Increase

The notice we got from the land lord was notice of a rent increase.  We now pay $900.00 a month.  In 30 days our rent will go to $1200.00 a month.  That is a 33% increase.

I guess I could say I told you so but on the other hand it was not hard for someone to guess it was going to happen…
The banned Radio Caracas Television station is uploading their programming to YouTube and the RCTV Colombia affiliate has agreed to transmit the evening edition of “El Observador” over it’s international signal.

I just watched “The Squid and the Whale” (2005) on DVD. 
“Based on the true childhood experiences of Noah Baumbach and his brother, The Squid and the Whale tells the touching story of two young boys dealing with their parents divorce in Brooklyn in the 1980's…”  Odd movie.  I had no idea it was based on a real story until after the movie was over and I looked it up on the IMDB. 

 

Bus Fire and Moving Day

I just got a email from Dick in Kansas City.  He was on the bus in the Kansas City area that broke out in flames.  The entire bus burned.  I saw video on KansasCity.Com.  No one was hurt but it was close.  Everyone was sleeping on the bus.  All the people made it off but it was close.  Maybe we will get more details from Dick soon.

Ken got an over night express letter via UPS today.  It is from our land lord.  I did not open it.  I will find out what it is when Ken gets home.  It is not going to be good news.  If we have to move this is a real bad time for us to have to move.  Ken is leaving for VA in about a week or two.  He will be there for almost 2 months.

 

Why Would I Lie About A Thing Like That

I think ShowMeBlog is looking very good right now.  If I can just keep from messing it up.  You know me I keep messing with things.  I enjoy playing with hard ware and soft ware.  I again want to thank “JC” (I do not mean Jesus Christ by the way) for the mast head he did for us.  It looks so good I wanted the rest of the blog to look good.

Most of the time I tell you everything going on around here.  Hell I have told you how much I weigh and my BP.   Hell I even told you when I went to the bath room and how much.  So you know I tell all right here.
Let me up date you on something that has been going on around here.  I have fans believe it or not.  It is not because I am special hell we all know I am not.  I am very common.  Some people would call me white trash or trailer trash.  I do not think that is fair and I would never call people that.
OK have we got out of the way that I do not think I am special?
The fans that I have are some of the best people in the world.  Maybe they are because of what I just said..they do not like me because I am special.  They do like like me because I am rich and they can get something from them. 
A few of them may not even like me.  They just want to follow what is going on with my life.  My life maybe like their life, in some way, or it maybe that is very much not like their own life and they just want watch how I live my life.  It maybe that some people get some useful information from this blog.  We may have some common interest.

For the past few weeks their has been one guy that has been wanting to chat with me all the time.  I had chat rooms before there was a world wide web.  I had chat rooms before there was a real Internet. Before the WWW began one of the few things on the Internet was IRC (chat rooms).  I hated the IRC and never used it.
I am not a fan of chat rooms or even the IM services.  They have a place and sometimes they are a useful tool.
Why don’t I like chat rooms?  The number one reason is that I can not be in a chat with people and get anything done.  I know many of you can be in chat and carry on with your life and your work.  I can not do that.  If I am in a chat I get nothing else done.  The other big reason is that you never know who you are talking with in a chat room.  No matter what they tell you have no way of knowing if it is true.  You do not know their age, sex, location or anything about them. 
OK I have had this guy that has been wanting to chat with me all the time.  He seems like a nice guy and seems interesting.  He seems very open and honest.  It seems like we have a lot in common.  Do you see anything wrong with this picture I am giving you?  Hell he seems like me.  I did some chatting with the guy.  But he wanted to chat all the time.  It became clear that he had made a big time study of me.  He checked out everything.  He read back issues of the blog.  So I start to think OK what is going on with this guy?  He does not seem to be gay.  He does not live in Africa and want to marry me so he can come to the United States.  I start to see that he is telling me lies.  He tells me things that he thinks I want to hear.  He tells me things that will make me like him.  I got to a Bush protest and he says he goes at the same time.  I say I am a ham and he says he is a ham.  He pretends to put his wife on the chat to talk to me.  He tells me all sorts of stories.  I do not have time for someone telling me lies.  I also just do not have time to be in chat with someone.  I do have things that I need to do.  I stop chatting with the guy.  He sends me email messages telling me that he needs to chat with me.  He pages me on AOL IM all the time.  He signs up for Yahoo and pages me on Yahoo IM all the time.  He attempt all sort of connections using IM programs. He pretends to be other people and sends e-mails and attempt to connect via IM programs.  OK OK you get the idea. 
I have no idea what is going on with this person. 
I could understand it if he were gay.  I do not think he is gay.  I could understand it if he was in Africa and he was thinking I had money and he is going to use me in some way.  But something else is going on with this guy.  I would like to know what the heck is going on with him.  He says that he has money.  I am wondering if I should just say OK I will chat with you for $10.00 an hour.  I could use the money.  But on the other hand I do not want to chat with someone, for any amount of money, that is not telling me the truth.  That is a big waste of time for them and for me.
If this guy is having mental problems then I feel sorry for him.   I know a little about people with mental conditions.  But I can not help him with his problems.  I have enough problems in my own life.
I ask myself “Why would I lie about a thing like this?”  There was a cute movie out a few years ago and the guy in the movie would like about thing.  He would not lie about anything important or try and cheat someone.  When someone would find it hard to believe what he was saying he would say “Why would I lie about a thing like this?” and the people would often believe him because there was no reason for a person to lie about he was saying…  I sort of feel like I am in that movie now.
