Palm Treo 650

  I got my own phone service for my Palm Treo 650.  So now I have full Internet service for my Palm Treo 650.  I will have to learn how to do stuff on it.  LaDawna is a big time power user of her Treo and she will be here soon for a visit and I will pick her brain.
  But now that I have Internet service on my cell phone I can post some photos very fast to the site.  I will have to see what is the best way to do that.
  Also if we have storms and lose power and Internet service if I have cell phone service I can still post to ShowMeBlog. 

  So now I am not on Russ's family plan.  In fact Russ now is off the family plan and he has Internet service for his cell phone (Blackberry). 

Bill O' Reilly Loses His Mind

  Here you get a good look at Bill O' Reilly.  A man who can't listen, can't reason and has to be right.  Just think if the person on the other side of the desk were anyone other than a fellow employee of FOX "news". 

NeroDemo12065 toolbar.exe virus

  I had bar-b-q chicken for lunch today.

  Sometime around that time I got a virus on my computer.  It was the NeroDemo12065 toolbar.exe virus.
  I could not find any information on the virus.  BitDefender moved the virus but could not delete or kill it. 
  I suspect it came in via eMail some how.  It was slowing down my computer and it was directing my attempt to surf the Internet.  It sent me to a Garmin GPS site and I saw something about “software.visicommedia.com/en” and I guess it was trying to send me to that site.
  It looks like BitDefender took care of the problem.. but I am getting sick and tired of all the scams, junk mail and everything else.
  If I could afford a Mac I think I would try out a Mac.
  I have Linux installed on my computer now.. I should just run it for all email.

 

 

 

Working on Howard's Notebook

  I had to run down to Homestead early today with Ken but since I got home I have been working on Howard’s Notebook.  It is under construction and I have a lot work to do with it.
  I am thinking of making Howard’s Notebook the new home for ShowMeCam.  I have also been thinking about just doing away with my webcam.  When I have the webcam running, which is all the time, I don’t work on videos.  If I did not have the webcam going, I think, I would be working on making and editing videos.

  I got some news about Ken but I can’t tell you yet.  He does not want me to post it to the blog.
  I will post the news and I hope photos soon.

  I walked over to Dadeland Mall and got this to eat tonight.


  I just love my new monitor and my new Palm Treo.  I still need to load a lot of data into the Palm.  
  
  
 

I am tired

  I am very tired.  Spent all of one day with Ken looking into a Jeep in Naples.  Later that night we were out riding around in Miami.  It was a long long day.
 Then early today Ken and I had to go down to Homestead.  
 Naples is a place that would be great to live.  Homestead I hope I don't have to live there.  Of course any place in FL is better than most other places in other states.

  I checked out CNN web site...FBI agent appears to have been accidentally killed by friendly fire.  I have noticed on TV police officers shooting like crazy often.  I am surprised that more are not shot by accident.  I guess they never heard of cross fire.  Part of their training should be to always know who is behind they are shooting at...and that they can not fire if there is danger that there shots will hit someone behind the suspect.
  Child psychiatrist accused of molesting patients.  If you read that story it is interesting. The guy was not only a doctor but a prominent psychiatrist.  Think of the damage he must of done to patients that came to him and he molested them.
   Hospital had to call 911.  That is a video from CNN.  It is interesting for a number of reasons.  I have commented here often that I do not think a place should be called a "hospital" if it does not have an emergency room and if it does not have a certain level of staffing.  Now it sounds real bad that the hospital had to "call 911" but what they were wanting to do was get the patient transfered to a level of hospital that could take care of him.  The hospital is closed now and it should not re-open.
 
 

 

Make Your Own Google Maps

  Google maps now is going to let you take their maps and put your own information on the maps and put them on the Internet.  I think that will be pretty neat.
  You could take where you live or shop or hunt or fish and have a map with details and information put in by you.

  I hate to see anyone in jail but I also hate it when people think they are above the law or special in some way.  This video blogger after 226 days turned over the video but still says that he will refuse to testify. 
  My feelings on the matter is lock the son of a bitch back up in jail.
 

  I do not think that “journalists” should be above the law.  At least no more than you and I.  California has a shield law that allows reporters to keep sources and unpublished material secret.  There is no federal shield law.
  I do not think that any state should have a shield law.  
  Now if a reporter wants to protect someone or something and is willing to go to jail for it then that is OK.  I just think they should not have any special protection.

My Muslim Friend

  I visited my Muslim friend, Inam, last night at work.  It was his birthday.  His home country is Pakistan.  He and his family are American citizens. 
  He had some Pakistan food for the fellow officers and he wanted me to come over and eat with them and the food was very good. 
  I know there are a great many Muslim people in the world and in the United States but Inam is the only one that I have met and got to to know in person.  He is one of the most kind and easy going and unpretentious people I know.  I worked with his son and his son was the same.
  When things happen in the world I have to try and remember that vast majority of people in the world are like Inam and his family.  I wish that other people in the world would remember that about all Americans.  We are all decent good people.  We are all just looking to live our life and care for our children and want to live a good life.

  Inam has diabetes.  Let me tell you that diabetes is a bad disease.  Do what you can to keep from getting it.  Check with your doctor to make sure you don’t have it. 
  Obesity and lack of exercise seem to be a major reason for many people to get diabetes.  News reports are that more and more young children are getting diabetes or will get it because of their current life style.  If you got children get them out of the house and away from the computer and game systems

  I think Ken is going to get his Jeep today.
 
  I will have to go with him and if he buys the Jeep I will have to drive his old car home.  I hate to drive his old car.  I want to drive the Jeep. 
  It is going to be a two hour drive to the dealer.  Then a two hour drive back home.  I will take my camera and maybe I can get some photos.  Maybe even a video.

 

Comcast Cuts Off Bandwidth Hogs

  This is something that I did worry about in the past.  I do not have Comcast but if you read the article you will see that all Internet service providers monitor the amount of traffic. 
  When I stream video it does use a lot of band width.  I am not streaming a webcam now.  I am using CameraWare and it is very little drain on the band width.  But in the past I have worried. 

  I been using my new monitor, of course, tonight and I love it.  It is so much more easy for me to find information and to cut and paste.  I think my blog will look better and more better information and I can do it faster.
