I was excited when I got Civilization IV today. As it was loading I looked over the manual and it looked like it had a lot of great new things in IV. It loaded and I decided first to install the upgrade (patch-1.74).
The install of the patch gave me an error.
Then Civilization would not run. I got a number of errors.

I made a number of attempts to fix it. No luck. I then tried to un-install it. It would not let me un-install it. It gave me errors. I then removed all of Civ III to see if that would help. No luck. So right now on this computer at this time I can not run Civilization IV. I am not going to put back Civilization III.
I give up on the whole thing.
