Saudi Arabia said it would increase oil output by 200,000 barrels a day (2%) and oil prices went up more than $5.00 a barrel. Traders appear to fear that the global demand will be more than the 2% increase. I think we are fucked.
Truth is as much as the high price of gas hurts us it could be a good thing. If the price of gas went down drivers and everyone would go back to their old ways.
We need a smart energy policy. I think we also need an excess profit tax on the oil corporations. They got us into this mess and did nothing to help us in the past.

I did not hear the speech or read it but I think it was an excellent idea. It was Father’s Day and he spoke at a church.
Plus we know he is not going to lose any black votes. Plus the truth is if some black people start attacking Barack Obama it will get him white votes. This was a win win for Barack Obama.

That is a crazy story. It is sad and hard to understand. If you want to look for something positive in the story it is that passers-by stopped and tried to help out. It is also positive that the police seems to have done an excellent job.

It last things are starting to happen. I do not own a car so it is not fair for me to say great that gas prices are high and that I hope they stay high. The only way we are going to get out of this mess is if we get away from the current way of doing things. I have seen some bright spots and this hydrogen-powered car is one of them.
