I been taking Simvastatin for high cholesterol. I took it and the next visit to the doctor the lab work was good. It had improved my cholesterol levels.
I am not sure when I first started having problems. I did not link the problems with Simvastatin.
Possible side effects of Simvastatin:
I was having big time muscle pain or body pain. I have a lot of join pain and I think I had extra but I am not sure on it. My memory is not good anyway.. no way I could tell if I lost any memory..Hell I would forget anyway..I had a feeling of weakness but I been having that before I took the medication..but I had a great deal more weakness..
I have some sort of heart problem going on and have had for a long time and the doctor has been telling me to see a heart doctor for tests..I have not done it yet. For the last month or so my heart or around the area.. some strange and scary feelings and pains have been happening..Often when I lay down I am not sure if I am going to wake up or not. Now that I am not taking the Simvastatin I am back to the normal heart pains. The strange and scary feels are 90% gone now.
I did have four medications to take, one being Aspirin, and now I am down to three. I only take them one time a day. I have got to say that I feel sorry for anyone that take more medications than that each day or for people that have to take their medication more than one time a day.
When I worked at Research Belton Hospital if the ER was real busy often a old person would come into the ER with a bag of medications. Often I would make a list of the medications for the nurse for the patients chart because the ER nurse was so busy. I never could believe how many medications they would have in the bad. Now I wonder how in the world they could keep track of their medications. Now I wonder how they could pay for them.
