Every family has the "black sheep" of the family. I have to admit that my family is no different. My daughter, LaDawna that I love, and her husband (Aaron) are vegetarian*. I know it is shocking and most people would not admit it. But I am very open and honest with you.
LaDawna a vegetarian. Aaron is a "vegan" and also does not eat any animal products, including milk, cheese and other dairy items.
The shame of it. But family is family and we must love our family and try to understand.
I took Aaron out to eat at an Indian place. LaDawna was taking Darlene to the doctor.
I admit to loving meat. I am an American and I live in the Republic of Texas. I think it is a law here that you have to eat meat. In fact I do not think that vegetarians are allowed to live in the great state of Texas. They may visit as long as the follow the rule of not telling anyone about the sin and crime that they live.
LaDawna made vegetarian hot dogs the other day. I was the only honest family member and I told them that they were gross and that God ment for people to eat meat.
The next day she make some meat less food. I was the only honest person again.
Jimmy started, as he often does, a discussion of religion. Aaron and LaDawna have strong views on the subject. I do not believe in God but I had to jump in on the defense of God and religion. We should not have got into that discussion. Jimmy and I are willing to discuss the subject and have a give and take on the subject. Aaron has deep roots and strong feeling on the subject. You know they say never discuss politics or religion. Aaron and LaDawan left right after that and went to their motel.
Today we are going to see if Jimmy can get the doctor to give him a month of sample medication. If he can LaDawna will take him.
Then we plan to go to The Sixth Floor Museum. LaDawna wants to visit the site. I could live without visiting and thinking about that day in 1963. I remember all of those days. I remember my feelings. I know that the lost and depression that I felt on those days I never have felt since that time. I did not have those feelings when my father died and not when my mother died.
Then we plan to go to Reunion Tower. I plan to take my camea and will get some photos. I also am going to take my ham radio and see if I can make a contact from the top of the tower.
I think LaDawna has a surprise...she had a smile on her face and said something about some other place. God I hope it is not a vegetarian eating place.
