LaDawna, Aaron, Russell and I went to Fort Worth. We went to the Spiral Diner at the Santa Fe Rail Market. They were listed, someplace, as one of the best vegan places to eat in the United States. So we all got something to eat. I had a baked potato. It was OK but it would have been better with meat on it. Aaron had the vegetable lasagna.
I was not impressed. But the food looked great.
I got a t-shirt for LaDawna and one for me. We also got a case of Dr Pepper. We got the real stuff. The Dr Pepper with Imperial PureCane Sugar from the place that has been doing it for 112 years. It is also in glass bottles. It is good stuff. The company is the Dublin company.
Then we walked over to the Tandy Center. Fort Worth looks like a nice town. Wide streets and brick side walks etc. Did not see a lot of people. Not much traffic. The Tandy Center looked like it was about to close up..no people.. little activity. No real reason to go to the place. They had a Radio Shack store in the place with two knock out looking women working there. But..it was not special. Hell it is the international HQ of Radio Shack. That place should be alive. They should have all sorts of things going on at that location.... Oh well..guess they don't need my advice.
Then it was back to Dallas and to The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The tickets for the four of us cost $39.00 and I was not impressed by the place. Of course I remember every deal and minute of those days. I saw it live on TV as it took place.
They, of course, do not allow any photography inside. So I can't show you anything.
I got Russ a hat.
Then we headed home. First to KFC to get something for Russ to take home. Then it was out to eat for the three of us. Then to the store and back home.
Later LaDawna and Aaron went to their motel.
There were two big buses from Missouri at the museum. I felt right at home.
By the way.. that place must take in a lot of money.
